"... weekly documentary series on marginalized American subcultures including gun nuts ..."

palelizard: The pilot will be on the marginalized subculture that eats a Super-Sized McDonald's meal then drinks water until they throw up so they can blame it on McDonald's portion sizes.

Yeah, I have to knock him for this.  When I was in my 20s  (like, my entire 20s) I basically ate McDonalds every day.  Sometimes 2 times a day.  Heck, they knew me so well, they gave me the employee discount (which was silly... like 10% off something I could easily afford).  When I finally gave it up (read: got a girlfriend who was healthy and could cook very well).... I just realized it gave me slightly high cholesterol and made me slightly lethargic.  Nothing worse.

No, its not good for you.  But by no means is anyone going to have the (fake) reaction he had in the movie after only 30 days.

Also, from what I remember he ate way more than he was hungry for.  Yeah, that may cause you to throw up... but that's not what anyone actually does.  People may have unhealthy appetites for McDonalds (2 Big Macs, huge fries, super size coke)... but that's their appetite.  They're not going to get sick.  They're just going to cure their hunger with not so healthy food.

I'm a pretty skinny guy who doesn't eat large portions.  Find me the healthiest food out there and serve me 3x what I'm hungry for.... I'm going to barf it up.  Simple science.

Fast Food Nation is a book by Eric Schlosser, it was made into a movie, neither of which have anything to do with Morgan Spurlock. He did 'Suspersize Me'. Get your polemicists straight.
