Ken Blackwell, a contributing editor at Townhall.com, is a senior fellow at the Family Research Council and the American Civil Rights Union and is on the board of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. He is the co-author of the new bestseller The Blueprint: Obama's Plan to Subvert the Constitution and Build an Imperial Presidency, on sale in bookstores everywhere.

This guy sounds legit.

Clearly, they were tired of " America 's chickens coming home to roost"

OMG I can't believe he would really say that! That's terrible!

Now, the chickens really are coming home to roost.

Exactly! Couldn't have been said better!

I hope those poor chickens know what the GOP has in store for them.

Well, criticizing America before Obama was president was unAmerican. Criticizing America after Obama was elected is proof that you are the ultimate patriot. Did you not get the memo?

I get the feeling that Israel starting a shooting war with Iran before the election is the latest republican wet dream.

If your hopes for winning the presidency rest on an all out war in the middle east you're boned.

"People are tired of hearing about Jeremiah Wright but I'm a black Republican shill so I can't stop talking about him or I'll lose my job"

Is that what I just read?

Oh, aside from... Now is when the peace of the world can depend largely on the judgment that President Obama brings to the nuclear standoff between Israel and Iran.

We get it, the GOP wants to bomb bomb bomb Iran.

Well not for that reason, no. I actually don't think anyone's paying Fark to put up links, but I was arguing that it actually benefits the left to present the far, moon-batty right as the major "conservative side". I know that's increasingly easy to do, but it's the same concept as the Democrats wanting Akin to stay in the race.

But the left-wingers don't have to present the insane far right as the major conservative side. I don't know what moon cave you've been hiding out in, but the right has been doing that themselves pretty damn well so far.

Well, duh, but if you've noticed, a lot of actual politicians try to distance themselves from the far right. Take their reaction to Bachmann and Akin. The kind of crazy that comes out of Townhall would alienate most of the independents that people like McCain and Romney appeal to

mahuika: a lot of actual politicians try to distance themselves from the far right.

The 2012 Republican National Convention theme is "We Built This!" as a dig at Obama, for his "you didn't build that" comment.

Obama was speaking about national infrastructure; road and bridges, and making a statement that we work best when all of us work together towards a common goal. The Republicans are pretending: "Obama says you can't take credit for your own hard work! DERP!"

The entire Republican Convention, where they will nominate their Presidential Candidate for 2012, is therefore based on a lie. It's spin. It's the exact type of right wing crackpot idiocy you seem to be implying that these politicians are working to distance themselves from.

They're not. They're embracing it.

They've made it their campaign platform.

Wake up and smell the crazy.

And that "Nuclear Israel", unlike Iran, isn't subject to NPT authority - they can blissfully bomb Iran into a glass parking lot, even as we chide Iran for daring to own centrifuges.

I try not to directly bark at mids, but isn't the point of Freeper Friday that it happens on a Friday? Are you guys pulling a CNN and presenting every wingnut blog you can find in order to avoid accusations of liberal bias, which the shills will still accuse you of, no matter how many right-wing sites you present?

The only other possibility is that people are looking for easy greens. Nothing gets this tab worked up like someone's dumbass blog or a factually barren columnist from the noise machine.

You do realize that if they had not killed him (w/ the Romans) he would not have been resurrected and become more powerful that you could ever imagine.

The Jews/Romans were the most important players in the whole film.
