So, when the players take a dive, they'll really be diving?

This is pertinent to my interests.

fta: Maybe the New York Cosmos won't be the first MLS team to play in NYC, after all.

No maybe about it. MetroStars played an Open Cup game at Baker Field in 1997, against Chicago, if I recall correct. So the 'Cosmos' will be third, if they ever actually exist.

This is Red Bulls home. It was just built.

Also we had many bodies in the Meadowlands, but they don't float like in the Hudson

Can't you already just run around on the filth?

Sure, everything's fine until a plane lands on you.

Ah, Baker Field. The northern tip of the northern tip of Manhattan. What a horrendously long subway ride that was.

yeah, it seems like this idea would have been useful a few years ago. the marina bay floating platform in singapore is cool. maybe this idea could have worked in nyc, but no need now. at least not for the red bulls.

I played at the bubble, next to the metalands, as Bruce Dickinson named that back in 1982

alrighty, who else saw the l'pool players shake the mascots hands?

Good God, that 'pool kit is farking hideous.

What if there is a fire or a bomb threat? How will people get to safety or exit the area in a short period of time? This is not a good idea. Also, all 200 onlookers would be safe... unless they jumped into the toxic Hudson River.

My God, 'my beloved 'pool is a shiatty, shiatty, shiatty team. And not shiatty in an entertaining fashion either. I've been a fan since '74 and this is about as bad as I've ever seen them. Folks talking about a top 6 or 7 finish are seriously deluded, it's the bottom six for us this year I expect.

I didn't get to see more than 15-20 minutes worth but they didn't look like a cohesive unit in that time.
