What was the last good Jim Carrey movie? Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind nearly a decade ago?

2012-08-23 08:41:49 AM
I am ok with this.

Has he done crap? Yes. But he can pull off a quirky role when he wants too, be amusing, and not just be "Jim Carey" when he does it.

I thought the story came out yesterday that his reps are already denying he wanted the part...

The Dead Pool, and that's only because he had few lines and died quickly.

She's 15 now...perv.

Seriously though, last I saw in an interview, she's sprouting up...she's like 5'7 now, and it'll be interesting to see her play Hit Girl, because in the comics, the gap between 1 and 2 are a few months. I'm assuming they will change things up in the film, creating a bigger gap in time.

I liked Yes Man a lot. It wasn't dark humor in the slightest but I think people forget how good the guy can be. This sounds more like a supporting role (never read the book) which he could be dynamite for, except I thought he had a $10M fee.

I'd prefer him in Talking-Ass: Ace Ventura 3. Tone Loc needs the work, Ace is in the house.

Jim Carrey should be courted for a Fire Marshal Bill feature length film.

Also, look at how perfect Nic Cage was in the first Kick Ass, in spite of how good his roles usually turn out. He was exactly right for that part. I'm willing to give Carrey a chance in the sequel.

I farking hate Nic Cage. I farking love that movie. That director just knew what he was doing or something clicked, I don't know.

I just watched "The Truman Show" again and kinda missed him.

Agreed.

(modern) Nic Cage drives me nuts, but for some odd reason, not in that movie. It made my head hurt...

Then I caught a few seconds of Ghost Rider again and my brain felt better.

He can do one thing: act like a walking petit mal.

Let's just say this: as long as the movie involves him making this face

this face

www.writerwill.com

or this face

He'll be just fine in it.

18 year olds are just as dumb and exploitable as 15 year olds.

Remember, the important thing isn't how old they are, it's how old they look.

Schooch over. Oh oh, looks like we might need to expand the "Chloe Moretz Have A Seat Over There" annex.
