Oh, look...it's more scarederp tactics drivel from Michael Reagan, Ronald Reagan's adopted son.

Those free email accounts? Yeah, you're giving money to liberal causes! BUY our reagan.com email account!

Only $40 a year!

Lovely aditorial you got there.

Did Fox News pay Michael Reagan to write that? If so, are they aware he didn't write a political opinion piece, he just wrote an ad for his own business?

HOLD THE PRESS

Can I just register some domain name like freedom4all.com and start selling the email accounts my webhost gives me for that domain?!? Just make the homepage some Tea Party-looking, geocities style page that claims all google and yahoo and whatever email accounts are run by liberals, and that freedom4all.com only donates to conservative groups, or whatever.... I could actually do that and fleece these rubes? Because I'd love to fleece them all.

I really hope this politicization of companies ends soon. If a company is using Ugandan child slaves in order to sew the shoe laces on my new pair of Reeboks with the inflatable basketball on the tongue, I'd like to know that. That's sort of my limit with regards to my politics influencing my purchases. Otherwise knock it off.

I'm a progressive liberal, a liberal who's progressive, whatever. But honestly if the future ends up with me having to ideologically vet every company I come in contact with, I'm probably just going to go on a hunger strike at the Lincoln Memorial in order to prevent me from having to say "Well, I'd like to eat at Subway today, but their bread uses federal farm subsidies and the company donated heavily towards the campaign of a candidate I disagree with."

"Let's try out this new sushi place, it's supposed to be great!"
"Hold on, let me look up whether or not the company supports unsustainable whaling..."

We politicize a lot in this country. For the sake of my sanity, can we please leave this one alone.

Poor Ron Reagan, Jr. Cut out of the family for being a Democrat.

You do realise that "Liberals" have so far boycotted one company (for proudly giving large sums of money to an organisation that abducts and abuses gay children), while conservatives boycott literally everything (for simply saying that gay people deserve to live), right? Also, being a conservative, I'm sure that you're very vocal about free speech and the free market - is this not both of those rolled into one?

Why not? Always wanted one, now I have one, and it didn't cost me a dime.

FlashHarry: why the .30 cal? planning on doing some hunting?

Not with that, no. There's all sorts of legal reasons for owning firearms besides hunting and self defense. Weird, I know, but true. For example, except for a few really super expensive guns, I own pretty much everything that was used in WWI, WWII, and Korea (and Viet Nam, by extension). Its kinda cool to get to play with stuff that's normally only seen in a museum. You get to learn how they work, how they operate, how to fix them, how to take care of them, what they sound like, what they smell like, etc. And in doing all that you get a teensy, tiny sense of what the guys back then experienced, first hand, up close and in action. It's like having a museum you can participate in.

I suppose it's the same with guys who like old cars or whatever. Probably just as expensive, too.

As someone who's pretty far to the left on a lot of issues (gay marriage, drugs, abortion, finance reform, immigration, etc), that statement makes no sense. And I don't shoot it at dirt, because that would be silly. I shoot it at explosive targets, because it's fun to do that.

I'm curious, which organization abducts and abuses gay children? Abduction of children is typically considered kidnapping...just an FYI.

For the record, I'm a huge militaria buff myself (despite being a bit of a pacifist - it's an interest I picked up through my grandfather, who served in WWII and Korea), though I don't have any guns in my collection. My pride pieces are a trench helmet and sword from the ANZACs of WWI. :)

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievance

Subby, you might want to sit down for this:

Many of us believe in freedom of association, property rights, and the right to free speech for all. So unlike you, we don't get butt hurt about these things.

But I'll let Mike Huckabee do the talking here:

"I'd love to talk to them; I'd love to ask what government authority gave them the right to censor commerce in their communities because they disagreed with someone who worked there. The CEOs of Apple Computers, Starbucks, Ben and Jerry's, Amazon all support same sex marriage, have given generously to it, but I still drink Starbucks; I use my iPhone and MacBook; I'll order things on Amazon, and I'll eat Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I'm not buying their politics; I'm buying their products, and I think people need to quit being so ridiculously fearful that somebody might have a point of view that's different than mine. I expect them to have a different one; I just expect them to treat each other with civility and a sense of respect."

Hate the gun nuts all you want, but they have been very consistent over at least the last 40 years that the 2nd Amendment applies to all Americans (and preferably to all of humanity though many are isolationists). Liberals have made it clear by their actions towards Chick Fil A that they believe that the 1st one only applies to them.

The Center for Responsive Politics' website OpenSecrets.org revealed that Yahoo! employees contributed more than $17,000 to Barack Obama's 2012 reelection campaign compared to just $2,875 for Mitt Romney.

Google employees ponied up more than $263,000 for Obama's 2012 campaign and $5,000 for Mitt Romney. In 2008, Google's political action committee, its employees and their families gave more than $800,000 to the Obama campaign. Following Obama's victory, several Google executives put up $25,000 apiece for the Obama Inaugural Committee.

Huh.

Link 1: they gave $1000 to exodus international. You originally claimed that CFA actively supports kidnappers. You have no evidence to back that claim.
Link 2: Based on allegations....are you aware of how the US system of laws treats heresy and conjecture?

insertsnarkyusername: I'm thinking the FEMA camp stuff just came from multiple playthroughs of Deus Ex.

I only got about halfway though that.. but then I had some low framerates on my old Performa 6400 at the time.

wee: Whatever. I don't care about indirect corporate funding or whatever causes their executives fund; that's their own business. I do care about direct-to-me funding. My last Christmas bonus at Google paid for this:

vygramul: Just to be safe, Republicans should just stay off the Internet entirely, and Democrats should just avoid Fast Food.

Does that mean Democrats shouldn't go to work? Just wondering...

I have a couple free accounts on different sites. I like to send emails back and forth to them full of things that might get the governments attention if they were read or scanned. But now my phones make lots of clicking noises when I try to call someone......

Look at all those conservatives trying to destroy Google and Yahoo's free speech rights. I'm going to go open up 3 accounts just to spite them

TsukasaK: beta_plus: Liberals have made it clear by their actions towards Chick Fil A that they believe that the 1st one only applies to them.

Really? Most liberals I know were pissed at the Chik-Fil-A prez, not because he said he hates teh gay, but because he gives money to people who active oppress gays.

But then again, you were probably trolling. Or are just a neocon moron. It's hard to tell anymore.

You know who else like to strip people of the right to make a living when they said things he didn't like or had different religious beliefs?

/put down Howard Zinn for a minute and read about The Nuremberg Laws.

skipjack: Link 3: You citation on abuse is one where anyone in the public can edit it. If that is the strongest evidence you have....well..you're typical...

Then click on the sources listed in the article. It seems somewhat ironic that you brought this up with the [citation needed] meme from Wikipedia, yet are unfamiliar with the fact that you can actually get a citation from the site itself.

Then they should have linked to the actual citation, that's what an intelligent human would have done.

Still no proof of kidnapping and abuse.

Without Fail: I did that by serving in the U.S. Army.

Thanks for your service!

Do you own many tanks?

Man, I wish. I've always wanted to own a Sherman...
