(NJ.com)   Campbell's CEO goes on pilgrimages to food trucks of Portland, Austin, and SF to learn how to make its uncool line of soups more ethnic and hip. Basically, put a chickpea on it, roast all the veggies, and add cilantro   (nj.com) divider line 109

jimpoz: Fissile: Wait, Campbell's has their headquarters in Jersey and they went out of state to sample the cooking at food trucks? Jersey's home grown grease trucks weren't good enough for her Royal Highness? Fark her.

Maybe she figured that since the Grease Trucks' days are numbered there wasn't any point in going there.

Why are their days numbered? Did Bloomberg get elected mayor of New Brunswick?

They decided to build a few new buildings on College Ave. One of them is going up in Lot 8, where the Grease Trucks are now.

My current understanding is that one or more of the trucks will still be in business in a sort of food-court area on the ground floor, but not in truck form.

That's farked up. So Rutgers, in it's infinite wisdom, is continuing its insane building spree in the hopes that monstrous sprawl will make up for academic failure? I suppose they plan on raising tuition to $50K per year to pay for this shiat. Yes, I'm a Rutgers alum. My first semester tuition.....back in the 80s.....was something like $850. Back in those days the State of NJ paid something like 70% of the expenses of the State University. Today it's like 20%. You kids are so farked. Now get off my lawn.

It might have to come to that. I think they'd need to be de-hulled, if that's a thing.

Hey farkers,

What's a good cream of mushroom soup recipe? I love green bean casserole but IBS means I have to avoid preservatives, etc.

So far the few recipes I tried have made the casserole watery. :(

Porous Horace: Now, can anyone tell me where I can buy Campbell's Green Pea soup (check pics if you don't know what that is) in Montreal?
