I don't know either. If it had been a comedy, it might have had a place, but everything from the trailers suggested they were trying to make it super cool and "epic".

Read the book. It's actually a sometimes-amusing, sometimes-violent informative biography. Except for the part about the vampires. But it's just a clever alt-history of Lincoln and the Civil War. But if you don't see the fun in that, prepare to be pissed when Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is released. Yes, it's in production, and based off another book of the same name.
