nekom: FirstNationalBastard: That he was black.

Actually, wouldn't he have been more middle-easterny than white or black?

No one really knows for sure whether he was white or black so it's still a bit of a gray area.

Yup. Obama went to church regulary and had many spiritual mentors.

Too bad Romney hides his church history. In fact you are not even allowed in and he was even a bishop.

Nice smear tactic. Are you suggesting that the mormon church is not ewhat it seems?

The Chruch of Latter Day Saints is VERY open about what they believe. In fact they probaby knocked on your door at on time hoping to tell you about thier faith.

You should read the 13 Articles of Mormon Faith and then research the teaching of Rev Wright and Rev Cone.

Well, Mormons have knocked at my door, but when I tell them I'm Catholic, they very politely leave as soon as humanely possible.

Mikey1969: ManateeGag: he's right. I don't care who he or Romney prays to. the real issue here is what kind of condiment does he put on his bologna sammiches, Mayo or Mustard? This is very important to the people of the free world!

Both. The big question is Mayo or Miracle Whip... Miracle Whip seems to be the frontrunner here in Utah.

Your blasphemous crimes against mustard shall not be tolerated.

I came here to point out that Romney's choice of bible passage is the equivalent of slipping the reporter a note reading "help the GOP has my daughter please god send 271 electoral votes in unmarked bills to drop point at mailbox no guns please god this is for real".

But I see it's been covered, though most people seem to be parsing the statement on the assumption that his current statements are for real and his previous behavior (Romneycare, etc) was the lie, whereas I kinda come from the opposite direction.

And now I'm going to be unable to envision the GOP end of this election as anything but a hostage situation with Romney as the victim and the GOP as the terrorists holding a machete to his throat on video. We've officially progressed from "the Romney campaign is like a starving puppy with only one leg, that's just sad" to "buy this candidate or we will shoot this dog".

//fark you, GOP. Romney may not have been one of the good ones as such, but he was an OK guy until you got him singing your retard song. He was one of like 4 or 5 governors in the US capable of compromise and getting shiat done with some degree of competence.

Favorite Bible passage? Romney cited Matthew 25:35-36-"For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me."

What RINO socialist wrote that crap? Get a job and pay for your own food, drink, clothing, and shelter. If you just give people food out of basic human compassion and decency, it will create a cycle of dependency where they will always expect you to keep them from starving to death. Next, they'll demand to have their wounds and diseases treated, even though they can't afford to pay thousands in healthcare costs for it.

Blessed are the bootstrappy, for if you are not obscenely wealthy, it is your own fault for not working hard enough.

And, apparently, really buff.

/a candidate's religion shouldn't even be an issue, nor should it be the basis of their decisions on important issues that the book of fairy tales didn't even mention.
