Psycoholic_Slag: pounddawg: Geez. It's like some of you didn't grow up in the 70's or 80's.

As I was scrolling through the pics I swear I was saying to myself "don't show my senior photo, don't show my senior photo".

Class of '79

I swear I knew a few of those dudes.

Same year, and yeah, a lot of them look familiar.

I imagine there would be a high degree of suck to finding one's own photo in such a list. And a dilemma. Do you sue? Which of course, draws more attention to the offending photo, with no guarantee of any satisfaction.

Observed: 2 white kids with afros wearing the identical "Superfly" shirt.

Postulated: Statistically speaking, someone whose photo appears in this article has got to be a Farker.

I actually honestly know one of these folks in real life.

Funny, whenever i see the hipster kids wanting to bring back the 80's, THIS is what i'm thinking about. It wasn't all Duran Duran fabulous. Lots of the awful glasses. And the hair, oh, the terrible terrible hair.

// had glasses
// and used lots of hairspray

Vince Neil's dad?

That dude rocks. He's the kind of guy who can score some beer and cigarettes anywhere.

Yeah but until 1987 the drinking age in most of the US was 18/19 years old.

Did that work? I was told that italics can be used to connote sarcasm.

Pray 4 Mojo: Oh look... it's the 80's. Funny.

Tell you what you little farks... let's dig up some pictures in 30 years and see how stupid YOU look. And since you all have those Ipongs constantly printing pictures onto Myface or Faceblog or whatever the hell it is... there's going to be LOTS of them.

Ha ha ha!!!

Now get off my lawn and stay the hell away from my Trans-Am.

/Getting a chill... where's my Members Only jacket?

Those weren't all 80's, I know, I grew up in the 80's-for real too, I graduated from high school in 90. I remember laughing at our yearbook pictures the day after we got the yearbooks.

I'm glad my sophomore year picture wasn't in there. I was really nerdy looking with big, think glasses, I hadn't cut my hair in 4 months because it was summer and I didn't care, and I had an hour break between daily double practices for football so I ran over to the cafeteria and registered for classes. They took my picture, and I thought it was just for student ID and didn't care that I looked like I'd been sweating in a helmet for 2 hours. I thought they used the pictures you bought for yearbook. Damn, I was wrong.

I think I knew a few of them too.

I'm one of those surprised not to see a picture of myself in there. I looked horrible in my school pictures. I was a fat nerd with these huge coke bottle glasses, horrible hair, with zero sense of style. But at least by the time i was a senior i actually looked pretty good. And all it took was getting in shape, contacts, my sister picking out my clothes, drinking heavily, and doing lots of drugs...

syzygy whizz: Uchiha_Cycliste: cretinbob: So much fail, it wins.

Some of those, not many; but some of those were alright.

A lot of them just needed time to 'catch up' with themselves...facial features don't all develop at the same rate once puberty kicks in...

Some of them are rather nice, if you overlook the HUGE glasses and the preponderance of mullet hairstyles...

Some of them are just plain silly...

Aaaannnnd sadly, a few of them are...well...let's just say that their genetic dice didn't roll boxcars when it came to the 'looks' section of the DNA.

That's pretty much how I feel.
Now I'm gonna go back and find one or two that I feel are downright great.
I'll also find one that hit the genetic snake-eyes.
2012-08-24 01:32:22 AM
I wonder how many of these people were successful?
The hairstyles were awful, and the glasses too

This kind of reminds me of what everybody looks like when you're on acid. Maybe if you met her while tripping she would be the only person to look normal?

Overall, kind of a lame compilation. It seemed like about half were just what normal kids looked like in the 70s/80s.
