He has just been awful the last two months. I like the guy and he is a solid foundation for building a pitching staff but maybe they should just shut him down soon, or skip at least a start.

The walks were surprising but a Vizquel throwing error is news.

/Morrow is coming back this weekend!

Someone with a similar name to mine walked 8 Detroit Tigers and took a loss yesterday. More at 11.

Injuries have absolutely crippled the Jays this year. Not that they were contenders to begin with, but they're a better team than this.

Romero needs the Halladay treatment: Send him back to single-A and let him start over.

He's the worse pitcher is baseball right now at any level. I don't think he could even pitch a little league game right now. Just awful.

Here's hoping the Jays can work another Halladay type miracle.

I'm holding out hope its just a bad season and that he bounces back next year. Morrow is back this week, the real ace of the staff so that's good news.

Wonder who they will claim is the "Ace" next year. They've been touting Romero like hes the golden child, meanwhile if Morrow didn't hurt himself before the allstar game he probably would have been selected.

Has to be Morrow. Before he got hurt, he only really pitched one bad game. I think Romero would be better off without that pressure, although to be fair, he was the 'ace' last year and he had a pretty decent season.

Oh, Ricky Romero. I thought for sure this story would be about J.C. Romero. Is he even still in baseball after the Cards cut him early this year?

Well, if you look at his line last year at age 26, you can see why they thought the guy had arrived. I mean, ERA+ of 147 over 225 innings? That's a hell of a line for a young pitcher - except for the W/L record, he was like "Adam Wainwright before Tommy John" good. So yeah, there were probably some higher expectations for the guy this year. But man, if you can't throw strikes, you can't win games.
