Advertising to a target audience? Crazy, man.

since this is the moonie times, i'm guessing it's bullshiat.

but as far as "no jobs created," that IS complete bullshiat.

What about these jobs subby: Spending reports under the federal Recovery Act show $495,000 paid to McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations LLC? And what about all the pundits and talking head idiots that the stimulus has kept employed. Why if Obama had lost the election, then who would Rush Limbaugh have had to biatch about? The man would be broke and homeless now!

Hiring a PR firm does not create jobs

Because PR jobs aren't real jobs?

Because no humans work at PR jobs?

Help us out here...

Officials gave no indication whether their research indicated if Fox News, ESPN or other cable outlets were considered for the Job Corps ads.

"Maybe we should put Job Corps ads on FOX"

"BWAAAA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!..oh. man...*whew*...you're fired"

So, let me get this straight, the department of labor pays to advertise job training programs and that's "Obama ads". becuase making sure people know these programs are avaialable is socialism or something....right?

Remember, these are the same people that wanted to prohibit signs at construction sites that mentioned that the work was being paid for by the stimulus.

Yep. And the fact they don't link to the actual report.

From what I can find, McNeely Pigott &. Fox got a $10 million contract for "media buy" from the department of labor.

Yet the concerned article only mentions 5% of that spending, and to only two cable shows.
Link

fark you unfetchable link.

I'll give you 100:1 odds that this headline is fabricated.

No takers?

Essentially, yes.

I dunno how much more blatant it could be that the GOP will blame every stubbed toe on the President if they think it will help them get the White House.

I did always find that kind of odd. I mean it's great stimulus for sign makers but what happens when the project is over. Do they sell those signs on ebay or something? recover them for new signs?

What a waste, there should have just been more tax cuts to the rich and welfare handouts to corporations. That's what stimulates the economy.

FTA: "Hiring a PR firm does not create jobs"

HUH!?!?!??!

I am sorry but isn't working for a PR firm a job?

2012-08-21 07:54:03 PM
Don't be a moron subby, the metric for success of the stimulus was jobs saved, created and lives touched. By running those ads, two jobs were saved and an audience of dozens had their lives touched.

2012-08-21 07:54:04 PM
Smokey The Bear and Woodsy The Owl are socialist pitchmen, play the ads backwards they're all calling for the return of Stalinism.

I heard Obama spent stimulus money on clothes for his wife and blow for his hookers. Why doesn't the media investigate the dozens of whores that come in and out of the White House every month?

Was the Washington Times concerned about Bush spending money on Pundits to express support for no child left behind.

500k that's not really that much money in the grand scheme of things, Republicans don't generally get riled up and often dismiss savings of much more than that OH WAIT IT WAS TO FUND THE LIBS AOISGOIASHDGOIAFHGOIPAHFG farkING LIBS 500K HOLY shiat THAT'S HALF A MILLION

So, this means that Sarah Palin is automatically president and Sasha and Malia must pay the $500K back to the government in pennies from their piggy banks.

I think the question that must be asked of every repub candidate is "It is possible that President Obama will be reelected. If he is, will you continue to impede the implementation of his programs? It can be argued that the recovery is so shaky because the repubs have concentrated on throwing up roadblocks in the way of Obama's actions. Will you continue to do so if Romney loses? Can the country afford another four years of relentless gridlock?'

"Mr. Obama signed the $829 billion stimulus into law in February 2009"

That's President Obama to you, sonny.

Wait, what? Someone gave Olbermann ANOTHER show? I agree with him 70% of the time, but he's obviously a massive asshole off camera and should never get another show...

Dammit, I had to click to see that. They're really, truly whining about something from 2009? Hey, Moonie Times -- I heard that Obama ate a dog at some point in the 1960s. Maybe you should check that out. Of course, that might be a bit awkward for this particular publication...

dahmers love zombie: They're really, truly whining about something from 2009?

Specifically, they're whining about advertisements for job training programs from 2009.

To be fair to conservatives, with the burn-through rate of their butthurt, this sort of thing was inevitable. When you're outraged at a faster rate than the actual passage of time, this is what happens.

So that money was suppose to go to CEOs of major corporations to "create jobs" ??
