Wait, Romney took a stance on something?

2012-08-21 05:16:31 PM
Which will do all of jack and squat to actually get him out in the next 45 minutes.

2012-08-21 05:16:38 PM
Why, so he can be your campaign manager?

2012-08-21 05:16:49 PM
45 mins to go.

2012-08-21 05:16:49 PM
Romney's Sister Souljah moment...

2012-08-21 05:16:52 PM
This was scripted. Now it looks like Romney has a spine.

2012-08-21 05:17:01 PM
Seriously, how many more threads are we going to get about this shiat?

2012-08-21 05:17:06 PM
Akin totally needs to double down, let it ride, and annoy everyone in his party and be a big thorn in the side for the elections. It's the best thing to do. For Obama.

2012-08-21 05:17:07 PM
He said you are too much like my VP pick! I can't have people being reminded I got an extremist as a running mate who sponsors crazy abortion bills with you!

2012-08-21 05:17:07 PM
rule of rape and abortion club, is you do not talk about rape and abortion club

2012-08-21 05:17:12 PM
Romney should have been aborted.

2012-08-21 05:17:15 PM
No one should be forced to quit because of one comment. This is being blown way out of proportion.

2012-08-21 05:17:27 PM
But.... but... but he's still up in the polls!!!!

2012-08-21 05:17:30 PM
"Please get out of the race, you're making people pay attention to the idiots that are running!"

2012-08-21 05:17:30 PM
Sorry you don't have the power to do that.

2012-08-21 05:17:41 PM
I wonder if that could *hurt* him in Missouri, if they percieve him as trying to influence their race?

... Either way, BWAHAHAHAHA.

2012-08-21 05:17:48 PM
Is this the Countdown to Akingeddon thread?

2012-08-21 05:17:56 PM
Akin: But your running mate agrees with me. Is he quitting too?

2012-08-21 05:18:00 PM
News Flash worth? Really?

2012-08-21 05:18:04 PM

Expolaris: Wait, Romney took a stance on something?

Yeah, it's called "OMFG GET AWAY FROM ME! I DON'T WANT TO SINK DOWN WITH YOU!".

RoMONEY has a career made from jettisoning things that don't make him richer.

2012-08-21 05:18:33 PM
You're too strong to listen to him, Akin.
Stay the course, don't flip-flop, uhh... support the troop fetuses

Akin should have to carry his candidacy to term, even if it endangers the life of the Republican party.

2012-08-21 05:18:45 PM
good god that's a funny headline.

2012-08-21 05:19:07 PM
All the Republicans are running away from this guy like he's a hippie lib who hasn't showered in years, but his position on abortion rights is representative of the mainstream of the pro-life movement.

He should stay in the race. His statements are positive to the religious right, and his vote is needed in the Senate. Republicans are wrong to pull away from him now.

2012-08-21 05:19:09 PM
Since's Akin's political career is pretty well farked, he should tell Romney he'll step down ONLY if Romney releases the last 10 years' tax returns, complete and un-redacted.

2012-08-21 05:19:11 PM

GoodOmens: News Flash worth? Really?

Oops I forgot to mention this, too.
This really isn't news flash worthy.

With an appearance by generic fetus.

Expolaris: Wait, Romney took a stance on something?

Akin and Paul Ryan both have the same opinion towards rape and abortions, causing an overload of concurrence which violated Romney's uncertainty principles. By calling for Akin to resign, he's eliminating that connection and returning his campaign to its natural state as a question mark.

2012-08-21 05:19:42 PM
So will Romney change his position on this before the deadline?

2012-08-21 05:19:48 PM
I would like you to know that Rmoney has detailed files on the human antimony.....detailed files.

2012-08-21 05:19:48 PM
Rush apparently was calling for him to get out too. Looks like they think this could be poisonous enough to effect the presidential race in the state. I am not buying the "Akin is saying really stupid" stuff from Mitt, Rush, etc.

2012-08-21 05:19:48 PM
Stay in! Stay in!! Stay in!!!

2012-08-21 05:20:02 PM

HotWingConspiracy: Akin: But your running mate agrees with me. Is he quitting too?

Heck Romney agrees with him. Romney supports a "personhood" amendment to the constitution!

2012-08-21 05:20:02 PM
What's Romney going to do about it? The first law of robotics forbids him from doing Akin any harm.

2012-08-21 05:20:13 PM
I thought the deadline had already passed?

2012-08-21 05:20:18 PM

candiru.fish: Akin should have to carry his candidacy to term, even if it endangers the life of the Republican party.

Oh so much this...

2012-08-21 05:20:28 PM
Well they're buildin' the gallows outside my cell.
I got 25 minutes to go.

And the whole town's waitin' just to hear me yell.
I got 24 minutes to go.

2012-08-21 05:20:31 PM

Headso: He said you are too much like my VP pick! I can't have people being reminded I got an extremist as a running mate who sponsors crazy abortion bills with you!

The Dr whose research Akin based his claims on was a Romney supported in 2008.

2012-08-21 05:20:40 PM
Bur Ryan thinks the same thing......

2012-08-21 05:20:44 PM
See, Romney IS a moderate.

[turns to base]

Don't worry, Romney is just simply criticizing his incorrect comments about human reproduction, he still totally wants that anti-Abortion amendment.

[to all]

Tiny flags! Get yer tiny flags!

2012-08-21 05:21:00 PM
And when he doesn't, Romney will have demonstrated his inability lead even his own party.

2012-08-21 05:21:01 PM
I think it's pretty obvious that George Akin was merely executing his Cponstitutional rights when known THUG Trayvon Martin, who was high on Purple Drank, jumped from the shadows like a gorilla and viciously attacked America's Neighborhood Watch Captain.

When will you libs accept the truth? Probably because you are the REAL racists.

2012-08-21 05:21:35 PM

Corvus: HotWingConspiracy: Akin: But your running mate agrees with me. Is he quitting too?

But clearly Akin has gone too far by actually saying all of this.

2012-08-21 05:21:36 PM

consider this: Degenz: 45 mins to go.

shiat, time is going backwards again.

Yeah sorry about that. I sneezed.

2012-08-21 05:21:37 PM

Pesky_Humans: Rush apparently was calling for him to get out too. Looks like they think this could be poisonous enough to effect the presidential race in the state. I am not buying the "Akin is saying really stupid" stuff from Mitt, Rush, etc.

It's all about the election. They say this crazy shiat all the time and no one normally cares.

2012-08-21 05:21:39 PM

I don't think it's his position on abortion that's the problem here. Its the implying that most rape victims are lying sluts thing.

2012-08-21 05:21:41 PM
DON'T LISTEN TO THAT RINO, AKIN!1!!1!

southpawbeagle.files.wordpress.com

2012-08-21 05:21:46 PM
Romney will flip on this in about 40 minutes

2012-08-21 05:21:47 PM
Other officials in the GOP, including five senior Missouri Republicans, were less forgiving, however, suggesting that Akin had created an irreversible distraction and could no longer run as a viable candidate.

The distraction, of course, being how many high-ranking Republicans actually feel about abortion, rape, and women in general.
