Wow, if they're that insecure about their sports teams, I would hate to see the level of insecurity they must have about their penises.

Non-Oklahoma penises are also banned from their schools.

Well on the one hand I think the Principal is a real asshole. On the other hand I have a deep and abiding hatred of the Skunkbears.

So.., fark this kid. Burn that damn shirt and get with the program.

I kind of like this policy, it's a nice f*ck-you to out-of-towners who moved in and want to turn the place into something like LA or Miami where everyone roots for some team several states away. YOU WILL LIKE THE LOCAL TEAM OR YOU CAN GTFO

/they will amend it so you can wear the Thunder jerseys now that they have a team, though

When I clicked I was all ready to be outraged, but then I saw it was a Michigan shirt and I realized it was for the child's own good. What kind of parents let their kid be a wolverines fan? Good behavior starts at home

Oklahoma Thunder shirts would also be banned under the policy. So not butthurt, just a school district that wants a stupidly strict dress code instead of just avoiding these incidents by going to an all uniform policy.

The rule is among many restricting clothing and dress in the city schools. It came into effect in 2005 after suggestions from a gang task force.

Oh, brilliant. I hear some members of the MS-13 wear things like "corrective eye lenses" and "pants". Let's ban those too.

Blues_X: The District also tells News 9, it plans to review it's current dress policy and may make changes due to the recent complaint from Barton.

"When I talked with the Superintendent he absolutely had concerns about it and thinks it might be outdated," says OKCPS Spokeswoman Tierney Tinnin.

So, they're not entirely stupid.

Well they are, they just don't like bad publicity.

All the Oklahoma haters forget to read the last sentence of the article? They realize it's a retarded rule are are looking into fixing it.

"A spokesman for the school told WXYZ that the superintendent was aware of the incident and would investigate to see if the rule was outdated."

Good think he wasn't wearing a Longhorns shirt. Poor kid would have been killed by his classmates, and the principal probably would have held him down while they beat him.

As a native Texan living in Oklahoma, it wouldn't have surprised me... more rabidly obsessive fans I have not met than Okies, whether they root for OU or OSU. They think it's funny to run around with a Longhorns sticker upside down on their cars, which is amusing to me in its infantile stupidity.

And they don't know where Michigan is, I guarantee it.

One of my friends in college grew up in Norman. He was one of the most mild-mannered people I ever met...except when it came to Sooner football. Then he became a raving lunatic.

This is supposedly an attempt to battle Oklahoma's gang crisis. So, naturally, "satanic" clothing is also banned. It would be nice if that region of the US disappeared. Or if we could donate it to Iran.

So they don't understand that when they buy the Longhorn sticker, UT still gets the money whether they put it on their truck upside down or not, right? Wait. Oklahoma. Never mind.

And speaking of poor sports parenting. Let's count the red flags in this one. Last night I was at the bar & there was this 5 year old kid wearing a McNabb Eagle's jersey. The bartender goes to take a leak & goes into the bathroom while the kid's walking out (unattended). The bartender goes, "Hey, you know this is Cowboys country, right?" The kid turns around and goes, "F*ck you." So the bartender comes out, sees the dad and tells him what happened (in a laughing sort of "you won't believe what your kid said" sort of way). The dad goes, "Yeah, he's really passionate about his sports."
