Pretty cool nonetheless. The third season is coming.

"If you wanted to hear the Game of Thrones theme synthesized with a "cat meow" as the only instrument, here ya go."

Oh. Ok then. I wanted to see, you know, a cat meowing the theme. Not someone dicking around with garageband.

One does not lose his head and simply walk into Meowdor.

Awesome. Now do "Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp."

2012-08-21 12:53:34 PM
You spent time on this?

2012-08-21 12:54:52 PM
This is crap. This is worse than amateur hour. This is worse than that christmas album of dogs barking that came out like 10 years ago.

Will somebody please do this properly so I can enjoy it? Thanks in advance.

A girl says a name, a cat pees on it's floor.

My Mother taught the cat to say "milk" to get a saucer of milk. I heard it do this once myself, quite distinctly. Sounded like milk--probably had a few extra voyels and consonants in there, of course, but it got my attention.

Cats have a syllabary of 36 syllables, more than enough to support a natural language, but don't seem to have evolved speech even when they hunt in prides, as lions do.

That could be because they have a brain the size of a walnut.

So did I. Even though it's only moderately well done, it's a great idea. And I miss Game of Thrones, so I'll take whatever I can get.

consider this: Sophie Turner is 18 now so we better see some full frontal from Sansa in season 3.

I know Emilia Clarke is totally legal but it's weird to watch it knowing her character is supposed to be 13/14 years old...

I laughed.

You know, it would be cool if someone did an Uplift type of story, with cats, and constructed an artifical language for them out of real feline syllables.

2012-08-21 01:37:51 PM
Well, I guess this is better than "moderately attractive geek girl covers theme song on quirky instrument."

Not much better, mind you, but better.

It would be even better if this came before the world had already reached its saturation point on Game of Thrones theme song covers.

Though it could be worse. It could be yet another Skyrim theme song cover.

/shudder

So it's just me who finds her the most annoying character in GoT? I hope she dies soon. People say they hate Joffry, or Cersei, even to the point they get abuse in real life, but that's because the characters are good and well acted. At least I hope they are and Joffry isn't just an insufferable prick in real life. What does Sansa do? Whine in a high pitched voice, cry, and when she's not crying she sounds like she's about to, and then does. Most annoying, but not in a good way like Joffry or Cersei.

She's certainly the most annoying POV character in the books

I bet that cat never stops meowing. Every Siamese I've come across have been big talkers.

That video made my eyes hurt.

All this talk about "ooh she's finally 18, not we can see bewbs" kinda creeps me out. (Insert obligatory pedo bear picture here).

With an admirable amount of sustain. Sometimes a single Mraow can stretch on and on, vibrato, tremolo, whatevero. It's the American-Idol-runnerup-singing-the-Star-Spangled-Banner of meows.

Funnily enough, they have twice the number of neurons than dogs with physically larger brains, so size and complexity don't always correlate. There are still not geniuses, but they aren't as stupid as you'd think they'd be with that small of a brain.

In the show her character is 18 due to obvious child porn laws, so feel a little better. :) I kinda like there new ages and Martin said he should have upped them when he started.

If you read the books her character evolves and she becomes very interesting.

Remember she's a 13 year old girl through into a palace of intrigue and wondering if she's going to be killed at any moment, after being raised to just do needle-work and make babies. She isn't going to do the "smart thing".

I can't wait to see were her character is going.

It's not just you. She's also the most annoying character in the first book at least. Having to read any more chapters with her as a POV character is a major reason I've decided not to read anymore of the books. I'm convinced the show/book would be much more enjoyable just by cutting her scenes/chapters.

I don't know if Joffry's character is well acted or what the actor is like in real life, but it is definitely well cast. He honestly "looks" like an insufferable prick. if he had Obama's time machine, I could easily be convinced he is a young William Zabka.

Agreed that Sansa is very annoying and I want to smack the crap out of her.
