AVENGING MARIA HILL!

Pure win was that.

/Slo-mo Thor fumbling with his hammer was pretty lulzy as well.

Really, though, except for those two bits, it was rather underwhelming.

That was awesome.

Coulson leaning in to kiss Cap was good too.

Those three bits all got repeated viewings by me. I was still laughing from the "avenged" one so I missed Loki Snape the first time. And Tom Hidleston clearly didnt mean to say "exxxcccellent" and just rolled with it. Off the cuff humor is always funnier to me. It helps he really did sound like Alan Rickman.

The Battlestar Galactica reel still is one of the funniest I've ever seen.

2012-08-21 03:06:20 PM

consider this: Why even bother using a real hammer for that scene, instead of CGI like Cap's shield?

I was expecting Fury to call Widow a Motherfarker any second during that argument scene.
Thor looks badass even when fumbling around.

That's what I was thinking. Especially why add CGI to something that they wouldn't use for the movie?

Aside from the humour value, the reel is very instructive on just how much blue/green screening goes on in this
sort of movie, and those scenes in particular are quite interesting from a technical perspective.

Not to split hairs, but a gag reel's existence is pretty much only dependent on the humor aspect. The blue/green screening and other technical aspects of a production are usually covered in the multitude of behind-the-scenes features that are found on home video discs. The "gag reel" is labeled as such specifically to separate it from the others, due to the fact that it consists of bloopers and mistakes. Which is a weird place to see what was the emotional tragedy that eventually formed the crux of the team coming together as a team (or, "the point," if I may).

Cripes. I never tell anyone this because I believe we all should have a chance at life and each life on this Earth is irreplaceable.

Chill out, dude. People make mistakes, even when they're filming tragic scenes. And I no matter how intense the
scene, actors can break out in the giggles when confronted with bloopers (in fact, the more intense the scene, the
deeper the case of the giggles, at least that's what I've seen in my actor friends).

And just because I didn't find the reel as humorous as others here did, that doesn't mean I didn't laugh at all.

And, in summation, let me post another pic of Cobie Smulders, this time in her SHIELD catsuit:

Herbie555: I disagree. Tom Hiddleston doing his Alan Rickman/Snape impression made me LOL.

I disagree. That was the worst Alan Rickman impersonation I've ever heard. The timbre was all wrong and Rickman does not talk like Captain Kirk. The answering machine joke from Family Guy was an awesome impression by comparison. Does Hiddleston have an epic voice? Of course - he's British. Does he do a good Loki? Yes. But people need to quit camping inside his ass every time the guy does an impersonation or says anything remotely funny.

My enjoyment of insufferably trite Doctor Who and Harry Potter image macros on Tumblr has been overrun with cutesy Hiddleston anigifs and it vexes me so.
