These are all essentially the same model and are 5-6 years old. I might be interested if GM approaches Toyota level recalling.

Chalk another recall up to road salt damage. General Motors is recalling nearly 250,000 Chevrolet TrailBlazers and its various corporate SUV clones in Snow Belt states for a fire risk due to electrical problems.
...
The vehicles affected include only those originally sold or now registered in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and D.C.

why those states but not all of the other states that receive large amounts of snow?

Maybe those states are where the cars were sold that sourced the part from the same manufacturer. Of course, that would be an issue with the parts manufacturer and not GM directly. And you'd have to be a real idiot to blame this on the bail out.

The Stealth Hippopotamus: but the bail out worked.

Oh, right...

Ah, the Isuzu Ascender. The very unworthy GM-built successor to the Trooper.

"Covered by the recall are 249,260 of GM's 2006 and 2007 models..."

GM can DIAF and let other companies, that actually give half a shart about customers and employees, take over their market share

Very possible, these vehicles are all basically Isuzu Ascenders.

I was told in this last thread that it's actually a good thing that Toyota GM is doing this, because it means they care about their customers, unlike American foreign car companies.
