LordJiro: WombatControl: Of course, no one cares about the unemployment rate, GDP growth, the price of gas, the price of food, the fact that Syria is in full-blown civil war, Iranian nukes, the coming burst of the higher-ed bubble, inflation, taxes, etc. What everyone really cares about are Mitt Romney's tax returns...

I suspect there's an unstated reason why Romney isn't releasing more than 2 years of returns: because the more the Democrats whine about Mitt Romney's taxes, the more unhinged they become. The more oxygen they take up with meaningless chickenshiat, the less they have for issues that might actually matter to voters who don't already drink DNC Kool-Aid by the bucketfull.

And what has Romney proposed to do about any of the issues you mentioned?

*crickets*

That's not important. Republicans are campaigning on the fact that Obama failed, not that they actually have a plan to fix anything. They just want to blame Obama for everything bad and everyone should trust their ability to fix it.

LordJiro: So, any bets as to when the first idiots spewing shiat about "Taxers" show up?

The Fark Independents® will show up shortly and drop a steaming hot load of right wing wisdom soon enough.

He has released what is federally required, he has been as transparent as most other presidential candidates, so why the obsession?

Well, with the exception of his own father, and the man he is currently running against, that is.
Well, then there is this:

Republican Candidates:
George Romney 12 years
Gerald Ford 10 years
George bush 14 years
Bob Dole 30 years
George W Bush 9 years

Democratic Candidates:
Walter Mondale 11 years
Michael Dukakis 5 years
Bill Clinton 12 years
Al Gore 8 years
John Kerry 20 years

Wow, Romney got lapped by DUBYA!!! LOL, talk about embarrassing

...he has been as transparent as most other presidential candidates...

Well, in that he blocks approximately the same amount of light, sure.

vpb: Or maybe because most people suspect that he is a criminal tax evader who escaped prosecution by taking the 2009 Swiss account tax amnesty?

Most people? Citation please. Kos is not representative of America.

I bet you've never biatched about Obama if he did something you deemed not sufficiently transparent, right? Because, since you're defending Romney refusing to release documents that every major candidate in the last several decades has, that would make you a MASSIVE hypocritical douche.

Breitbart is dead. Even parasites drop off their host's bodies once the host dies.

If all of that is false, then the reason he's still withholding them must be worse!

This article will be followed by "Why is the media inflating Obama's numbers to make it look like a horse race when in reality Romney/Ryan is destroying in the polls?"

Ah, the myth of the liberal media, as if they were unaffected by free market forces and wanted anything but the most money they can earn through ad revenue...

Like Democrats did with the birth certificate, amirite? Except the thing is, the tax returns aren't a meaningless chickenshiat issue. It's a real issue which will shed light on Romney's policies, motivations, and character.
