friday13: Weaver95: while it would be a lot of fun to see the religious leaders in the GOP try to tap dance and explain why a full on hurricane smashing into the Republican convention wasn't a 'wrath of god' type situation...in reality, I hope it turns out to be nothing more than a heavy rain storm. people can get killed in a hurricane, property damaged. I'd not want to wish that on anyone.

Normally, I'd agree, but the current GOP is so full of slimeballs and scumbags that perhaps a death or 20 from natural disasters would be a good thing. A "culling of the herd" if you will. Whilst ,yes, it would be a tragedy for so many lives and homes to be lost, the cognitive dissonance from the event ("god punishes the evil" vs "we are doing god's work") can only drive them to one of two conclusions:

(1) That they have gone too far, and may start moderating themselves again (if they ever did).
(2) That they haven't gone far enough, and will go even farther right derp (derp=/=political right), alienating even more people, and essentially painting themselves into obscurity.

Either way, good for the country. Kind of like amuputating a gangrene limb.

knock that shiat off. Even in jest this is the kind of shiat you'd read on Freerepublic about Liberals.

Still, it'll be less of a disaster than the 2008 one. Go Palin
