FLYNN FOREVER

2012-08-19 08:56:17 PM
1. Don't know.
2. He will be either buried our soaked in hydroflouric acid.
3. Flynn is Walt Jr.'s middle name. At some point early in the series, he decided to start using that as his given name. He switched back shortly after Walt and Skyler separated.

On the advise of several dozen Fark threads I finally took the plunge and bought the first 4 seasons of BB thinking no show could possibly live up to the hype I'd read here.

Just gonna admit I was wrong. Show is freaking awesome.

They got 1000 gallons of methylamine (sp?) Buried precisely where a search party is going to be looking for this kid as soon as he doesn't come home for dinner. Uh oh.

That's funny. A couple of days ago I just had this exact conversation with a buddy who I have been badgering for the last three years to watch the damned show already.

I hadn't spoken to him about it in a couple of weeks. It turns out he started watching them on Netflix or whatever, and burned through the first four seasons in a few days of apparently never leaving the house.

Now he wishes he had waited, because he's afraid his head will explode waiting for the final 8 episodes in '13.

It's the price we all pay for getting caught up so fast.

I was all caught up at the end of season 3.

These last two have been HELL waiting...

Similar experience here. This is the first season I am watching as it airs. Took me about 1-2 months to watch the first 4 seasons, but for me that is lightening quick as I have no free time. Then went back and watched all 4 again, really motoring through trying to get through them all again before 5 started up. I love this show. My next project is Dexter. Currently in season 2. Not as good as BB, but better than most shiat out there.

Still have to wait for it to finish and be uploaded to the interwebz. Stupid Dish Network.

I just hope we don't have Jesse dealing with another breakdown like he did after Jane died, and again after Gale.

My guess is that Walt lets Todd live because he will see the act as being one of unquestioning loyalty.

Jesse and Mike will be outraged, and this will lead to a rift between them and Walt.

His breakdowns are kind of soap-opera-ish.

I've been watching it like this since the show aired.

And I've somehow managed to live

2012-08-19 09:56:28 PM
But I have a zillion shows I watch so it distracts me from thinking about it all the time

He started using the name Flynn after Walt stripped naked in a supermarket.

Precisely? The kid was motoring across the middle of no where. If he was out all day on his dirt bike the search area could be 100 sq. miles for all we know. What would lead the police to that particular underpass?

Maybe the species of spider he collected was indigenous to that one tiny area in New Mexico? I'm reaching here. Maybe his dirt bike track will lead straight to the railroad tracks. Maybe his family knows he frequents the railroad tracks because he loves trains. Maybe maybe maybe. I'm sure the writers found a plausible way to fark everyone over for killing a kid.

I checked out a few episodes on Netflix last year. I thought they were really well done but I hated every person in the show. So I stopped watching.

A few weeks ago I got really sick and was out of work for about a week. I ended up watching the whole series up to the end of season 4 in a few days. I'm still not right in the head from that. *twitch*

There is no redeeming value from the characters or even the show itself. But good writing keeps you coming back for more.

Yeah, that would feed into Walt's outsize ego. It fits.
