Does it do bad things in a measure of quantity or quality that make it the ultimate evildoer in the world? No. Assange and quite a few other people in the "hacktivist" collective seem to disregard massive problems that exist in places like Russia and China in order to point out what could be statistically described as anomalies in the United States.

That, of course, speaks nothing of whether or not Assange is a coward. He is. For a man that wants the rest of the world to lay bare all of its shortcomings, he has no problem with doing everything he can to evade the forces that want to get him for his. Actually, the leaks about the US government from wikileaks showed that the US was saying in public the same things that they talked to eachother about in private. It is an overeager assumption that these leaks proved any kind of dirty laundry. Other countries, however, were caught being perfidious.
