FTFA"But as an item in Liberty News complained earlier this month, even with the program 'people will still be without health insurance. Heckuva job, Barry.'"

Translation: "I still shiat my OWN pants, Barry. You can't stop me from doing that." And that's basically what SCOTUS said; these people have the right to deny healthcare to poor people in their own states. They demand the freedom to deny healthcare to the poor, get it ratified by SCOTUS, then call it a failure of somebody else. Holy crap that farking evil.

I can provide my son with health care coverage via my employer until well after he graduates college, thanks Fartbongo!

BillCo: Well, both camps are correct in that it does suck.

Fortunately it's the law of the land now and will be improved as time goes on. Obama got America's foot in the door on universal health care.

But why would we want healthy Americians? They would just throw their democracy everywhere like the hooligans they are. Thanks a lot Fartbama.

Didn't someone trot out that line last night on here?

That basically Obamacare is bad because it means more insured people which means more people going to the doctor which means longer lines.

I just wish they'd be honest with us and tell the uninsured people to die already like they really want to.

2012-08-19 11:31:23 AM
It will suck because it will meet dangerous expectations.

It sucks because it never met my dangerous expectations.

2012-08-19 11:32:38 AM
Romney was right about Israel's system. Universal cradle to grave coverage that only costs 8% of GDP? N0bamacare sucks in comparison.

It sucks that your Republican juggernaut was so completely steamrolled on it, every trick in the GOP book turned out to not be enough. Do you feel it coming biatch?

2012-08-19 11:36:12 AM
Once again, a brilliant Republican plan has been proven right, just like with TARP and the auto bailout. When will libs give credit for these achievements to their rightful creators?

So we're all in agreement on single payer now, right?

2012-08-19 11:45:36 AM
How is Obamacare the largest tax increase in history.

2012-08-19 11:45:46 AM
I woke up groggy today, thanks 0bowmao.

If you had any intention of doing any better at it, GOP, 1995-2006 was your era to do it. And ya didn't.

The New Deal when it was originally passed doesn't look like it does now. Most of us wanted single payer or failing that the public option.

I still love that Paul Ryan held a rally for Medicare in Florida in a 55+ retirement community that votes 2:1 Republican.

Talk about crossing enemy lines huh?

Remember when Obamacare was being created and all those republicans were calling for single payer universal health care?

Oh right, that didn't happen.

We get it, he's black and you're stupid.

Universal (single-payer) Coverage... That'd be nice, but you all think that's Nazi-Socialism or whatever retarded thing you have in your head.

Them dumbocrats is ruining America!

In the past year my personal medical has: dropped 8% cost per month, then a rebate check for 150% of one month's worth, and now they just let me know they're applying for an increase.

/a result of bureaucratic processes?

Does Obamacare account for losing Medicare, were that to happen?

It's based on Romney's own statewide healthcare system for Massachusetts...

Why would Medicare be lost?

I guess you mean if it turns into the privatized clusterfark that Romney/Ryan are hellbent on making it I suppose.

The GOP message on healthcare appears to be coming apart at the seams. They've been trying to deny up-and-down that their system destroys Medicare, yet here is one of them throwing it out as a hypothetical. I don't think there are two GOPers in the country who can agree on just what the Hell the GOP message on healthcare is at this point.

Yes. Which brings me back to:

We need Universal medical care. That's what I was hinting at.

No. You are wrong about that. I am not one of them.

This guy is: Link (Original article on wsj, but fark won't let me link to them).

He claims that there will be too many patients and not enough doctors thanks to ObamaCare, and health care for the average patient is going to suck.

2012-08-19 12:15:37 PM
So, if I have stage 1 prostate cancer I can get private insurance at competitive pricing without being denied for a Pre-existing condition? Damn you, Fartbongo!

No way! rush limbaugh told me that nobody is refused medical care in this country right now.

But he also said that with universal health care, we will have rationing, long lines, death panels, ect.

Yea, I can't figure that out either.

2012-08-19 12:19:40 PM
I thought it forced people to buy insurance.

Now it's a giveaway?

Curse you Fartbongo!!

2012-08-19 12:21:00 PM
So because the supreme court is going to allow republican governors to opt out of the Medicaid expansion obamacare sucks and doesn't help enough people. So vote republican. Dear god hope is lost if that line of reasoning catches on

I'm pretty sure it forces us to gay marry a turtle and eat unicorn burgers during Ramadan.

I just f*cking love how they don't get why we had to compromise on the health care plan. I mean, the objective is Universal Coverage, but because of these 18th Century free-marketeers or whatever the f*ck they are, we have this crappy plan that doesn't maximize coverage and cost-savings as we could have done.

When you have to lie about reality to convince your base to hate the other side... You are morally and intellectually bankrupt. Here, have a slogan from the type of people you idolize!

That IS a common argument. They also argue that many MDs will leave the industry because of Obamacare, which will cause the same problem.
Apparently there are a lot of doctors who are in it JUST for the money.

The solution is childishly simple:

More visas for foreign doctors and nurses.
Expand our existing medical schools.

What do they have against free markets?

Anything that actually creates jobs is bad, as far as GOPers are concerned. In fact, things that create jobs are job-killers. This is all money that could be poured into Mitt Romney's pocket, to be secured in offshore accounts and taxed in mysterious ways that we aren't holy enough to know about. For job creation. Maybe. Market's a bit skittish at the moment, so come back in a decade and we'll talk about it again.
