On the other hand, there is apparently photographic evidence. If those charges and only those charges stick, they would be enough to put him away for the rest of his natural life.

Sadly, just like the whole Sandusky thing, justice isn't possible in this type of situation where the perp isn't caught until late in life.

The young victims have been sentenced to wrecked lives, while the perps got to live a long life free to get away with their crimes. Now they just have to spend whatever time they have left in prison, but we're talking maybe a decade at most.

Unfortunately, there is no punishment harsh enough for someone who mistreats children. The levels of evil necessary to violate the trust and helplessness of children boggles my mind, and I'd vote for 'immediate bullet to the head' except for the fact that it doesn't exact enough vengeance. Flaying alive? Drawn and quartered? I'm a peaceable man, but this is one of the rare exceptions where I would prefer unmitigated revenge.
