King of the hill? What a crappy show. Seriously. They make Hank out to be some kind of badass (I'll kick your ass!), yet in every episode he looks like he's mere moments away from a hysterical crying fit. Anyone else notice this?

You can't just pick and choose which laws to follow. Sure I'd like to tape a baseball game without the express written consent of major league baseball, but that's just not the way it works.

You might just be missing the entire point of the show. It's more Norman Rockwell than Straw Dogs.

Way back before Site R became known as the "unidentified location" that Darth Cheney hung out at post 911, it served as the super secure Alternate National Military Command Center that Pentagon muckety mucks were supposed to relocate to in the event of WW III. Army CID decided to see how tight the security really was. So a CID agent had a military ID made up with a picture of a chimp on it. The MPs were supposed to check ID and check out what was inside each car as it drove onto the Site R road. Then there was a checkpoint at the tunnel entrance on the road down to the bomb blast doors into the underground complex.

So, the reporter drives up to the entrance joining the conga line of cars filled with troopers looking to report for the morning shift. The reporter says the MP took a quick look at the ID and waved him in. Reporter parks his car, grabs his briefcase and walks to the guard post at the tunnel entrance. The MP looked

Dammit all to hell. Long story short -- Army CID managed to get an agent all the way to the bomb blast doors before anyone noticed he was using an ID with a chimp's picture on it

Even in the episodes where they try to make him look like a badassed hero standing up for the everyman, if you look at the events objectively, he comes off as a terrible human being.

I'm not even talking about the "protagonist has foibles, overcomes them," schtick - Even when he saves the day, it's usually by overruling everybody else, or acting in a way a civilized society shouldn't tolerate.

I used to a black guys military ID to get into clubs when I was stationed in Alabama, Im white btw. The old style ones had all the info on the back. Most door guys saw my haircut and the back of a military ID and let me through. All they looked at was birthdate not weight or hair color, never the pic on the front

Logic should suggest using the photo of someone who is at least of age. Bobby was only 13 or 14.

Should have used Dale's pic and the name Rusty Shackleford.

Except Peggy, I don't care about her boggle skills or her 'substitute teacher of the year' awards, she still bugged me. Hoo yeah!

I had the opposite experience, I'd use one of my sisters' old IDs, they'd look at the picture and see the vague similarities, though if they had looked closer they'd have noticed that I'm 6 feet tall, not 5 feet like the ID said.

You take everything at face value, do you? Some guy screaming "I'm gonna kick your ass!" automatically implies to you that he IS a badass? Even though he looks like he's about to cry?

Seriously if your understanding of humanity is that shallow, I am sad for you.

We're not discussing humanity. We're discussing a fictional person in a cartoon. Seriously if your understanding of the differences between reality and fictional persons is that shallow, I am sad for you.
