How does one earn a silver medal in the "prelims"?

2012-08-17 06:19:18 PM
Maybe a guy who won an olympic silver medal sitting on the bench thinks the Pats are the logical choice to win a superbowl silver medal (AFC championship) sitting on the bench.

This would be funnier if he turned down the Giants to go to the Patriots.

But he turned down the Jets, which would make your joke work if he was on this Olympic team.

Um, no. He turned down an "opportunity" to play with former teammate Tim Tebow to play with someone who can actually throw the ball.

I was quoting CodeMonkey when saying "this" would be funnier, not the headline.

So what games are on the schedule tonight? Can we hijack this for a discussion thread?

I'm curious to see Buffalo's new D line and Megatron vs a Suggless Baltimore.
A little schadenfreude watching Cam beat up on the Dolphins might be fun as well.

I usually just skim preseason games on game pass though, except the Pats where I'm actually interested in the competition at the bottom of the roster.

Before we switch to tonight's game, I bet Tebow sold Demps on Josh McDaniels more than the Patriots.

Ravens vs Lions, bro. Love the rivalry, love it.

Brian Billick's head is like twice the size of the guy's head he's next to.

He was on the 4x100 team, but didn't run in the finals, only in Heat 2.

As really a apathetic toward Florida football fan living in Jacksonville, Jeff Demps is about the fastest guy I've ever seen on a field.

Well, the Bills' offense looks like hot buttered crap right now. But the defense looks pretty good, that first drive notwithstanding.

Alright, finally! Donald Jones with a TD.

I hesitated to make it so, but hey Go Jags!

Quite a few Gators on the Patriots it seems. Guess he's rather hang with Hernandez and Spikes than Timmy.

Oh Blount's knee just went sideways. Damn that looks bad.

Brian Moorman is as good a punter as there is in the NFL.

2nd WR this game to get stripped of the ball. Vikings fumble! Recovered by Buffalo!

Let's see if they send VY in now. Yep!

That's the way it works for relay at the Olympics. You can never know for sure, but there's always a chance that the finalist wouldn't run as fast if he had to do the prelim and that could be the difference in getting a medal.

I submitted this with a better headline.

And the replacement officials are sucking it up in Minnesota. God, these guys suck.

Ha!

You better hope they score a couple more, cause when "Eli" Palmer steps on the field, it is on.
