Probably can't make that.

Hmmm.

*strokes beard*

Is that a week day?

2012-08-17 05:02:19 PM
I hope to see everyone from the last party there - we had a great time in Seattle, let's go paint Issaquah red!

And IMHO, Rogue is one of the finest breweries out there - and that's saying something in Western Washington. Thank you to tawnos for the great idea to have a Fark Party in a brewery. I mean, really. Where else would it be?

Looking forward to it!

It's possible, then. Issaquah is a little bit of a drive for me, but might be OK.

Wish I had the money to fly out there, or the time, because I would love a party in a Rogue brewery.

2012-08-17 05:45:07 PM
huh, I had no idea Rouge had a brewery around here.

Is this new?

2012-08-17 05:45:48 PM
Sorry, I have my daughter that weekend.

blorpen: huh, I had no idea Rouge had a brewery around here.

Nope, used to be the Issaquah Brewhouse, purchased by Rogue in 2000.

They also do some great distilling. We hope to see you there, especially you AverageAmericanGuy, who have begged for this event to happen in the past.

2012-08-17 05:52:08 PM
Half the people (ever the optimist) on here want to punch me in the face when they're sober. I want to meet them when they're drunk?

Maybe people really aren't as dickish in real life as they are on the internet.

Maybe these people will turn out to be awesome.

/...or maybe you'll get a shot at some angry sex...

I've never been to a Fark party before. Is there anything expected of us other than showing up, drinking, and trying not to pee everywhere?

I can't make it. I head back to Japan September 3.

From August 27 through September 2, I'm free, though.

Surool: Sorry, I have my daughter that weekend.

Bring her with you! What, she doesn't like beer?

I can either bring the hearse or get really plowed.

Decisions, decisions.

It's probably okay to pee everywhere.

While it might not, from all outward appearances, be the most parentally responsible thing to take your kid to a brewery, the Issaquah Brewhouse is hardly kid-unfriendly.

Maybe get plowed in the hearse?

Whoa I haven't been to Rogue yet! Maybe this is my impetus to try it. Although you guys are pretty scary.

Worse. I leave on September 2. Glad I checked! That would have been a disaster.

The hearse would make for some good photo ops, but OTOH...getting really plowed.

As a proud graduate of Issaquah Middle School, I wish I could make this one. Will trade sex for airfare.

Damnit. I saw Seattle and was thinking about taking the train up... Then I saw Issaquah. Nevermind.

Don't be such a snob. It's a brewery. A good brewery - good enough to be Rogue, dammit. I'm sure you could find a carpool.

fark Rogue. A couple of their beers are drinkable, but that company is horribly mismanaged. A brewery....founded by...wait for it....lawyers. Doing it wrong much? It's too bad John Maier got caught up with a bunch of assholes, because he's a really cool guy. I know that's probably not enough to get you Farkers riled up though, so how about this:

Employee beer benefits consist of 10 PINTS A MONTH. TEN. That's it, and that's sad!

/not bitter
//well-balanced with notes of caramel and citrus
///would attend if I was still in the area

Issaquah isn't really western Washington. Now Sequim. That's the beginning of real western Washington.

I'm kind of torn. I'm still thinking about it, but between the train and a hotel it's sounding a bit pricey, but if I can avoid cab fares maybe I could make it happen...

I probably should, I don't think I've left Portland's city limits since about May.

Personally I'm not worried about the Brewery persay...... they are usually fine for kids and have great burgers. ;)

But this is another farker who has a kiddo (8yrs) and would like to make it. However, I don't want other farkers to feel like they have to tone down the revelry just for my kiddo though.

Can we get shout out there? Do we want to make it kid/family friendly or should we just plan to find babysitters? I'm good either way.

/glad you're not charging $70/head like my high school reunion. Blargh.
