When Eckerd drugstores were sold to RiteAid many changes were made. They developed a new brand identity utilizing Microsoft Word. They restocked with an affordable and wide selection of generic brands, with and without intact safety seals, imported esoteric linoleum tiles from the stock room of seven Kmarts in the greater New Orleans area and hired a crew of 18 trained firefighters to hose down the insides of each store with a mix of bleach and saliva. Then they hired the most despondent indigents they could find loitering behind a cafeteria in Chattanooga Tennessee.

Exchanging is fine. It's when the two of them want to share with the rest of us that it becomes an issue.

Well, for once it the idiots 'traded fire'. Recently, it's just been one side executing some unarmed fellow, then making up some story about how dangerous and rude the deceased was. "Why look at this scratch he gave me! I nearly blacked out from the pain, so I had no choice but to shoot him. Dead."

Works at a Rite Aid (not this one), getting a kick, yadda, yadda, yadda

Never had a shoot out in our store (*knock on wood*) but we had a junkie fight with the cops over stealing a vibrator and dropped her dimebag during the struggle. Oh the stories I could tell. We keep a "Book of Losers" in the office where we keep photos and barring notices of people who have been busted for one thing or another. Good for a laugh at times.

smeag0l: What happened to an armed society being polite?

If we knew that they were armed legally or illegally I could answer that question, but my bets are that neither had any conceal carry license or any license to carry at all.

License? What right does the government have under the constitution to restrict the right to bear arms?

I am certain that opponents of civilian firearm ownership rights will also wait for such information to be reported before using this event as evidence in support of eliminating concealed weapon permit systems.

Armed society is a polite society iff there are more polite people with guns, than jerks.

No, but I'm pretty sure the pharmacist and techs were cheering for them both to get shot and die painfully from a gutshot wound.

KaiserRoll: Quirk: but... but an armed society is a POLITE society, isn't it?

Armed society is a polite society iff there are more polite people with guns, than jerks.

From a scientifical poll I found online, I determined that approximately 72% of all people are jerks and/or assholes.

Therefore, even if every polite person had a gun, there could never be more polite people with guns, than jerks.

p ↔ q, ¬q → ¬p

Therefore, an armed society is not a polite society.

I'd go as far as to wager that the people involved MIGHT have been prohibited from possessing firearms at all.

Prohibition never works. It didn't work for alcohol. It doesn't work for drugs. It doesn't work for guns. No matter what laws are in place, somebody who isn't interested in obeying the law will find fun and creative ways of breaking it.
