"At the core, today's 'pro-choice' liberals are deeply pessimistic," Ryan said in a lengthy September 2010 statement titled "The Cause of Life* Can't Be Severed from the Cause of Freedom."

*unless you're poor and sick, then fark off and die quickly.

This is what should worry people.

The GOP said in 2010 that they weren't concerned about social issues, and that's basically all they've done whether it's on the national, state, or local level.

In this day and age, a Republican pretty much has to be far right in most of everything in order to be considered a Republican.

2012-08-17 09:02:14 AM
Seriously, what is the deal with Social Conservatives? What is their real agenda? Do they want everyone to be exactly like them and share the same views?

He has supported a federal ban on abortion even in the case of rape and incest, and a ban on gay adoption.

We don't need human trash like that stacking the supreme court, my friends.

I expect Ryan is going to get his ass handed to him on this in the more moderate groups of republicans. Or what we know now as Democrats

Right, because kids come with free money. The entire...

how much does ot cost to raise a kid to 18 these days?

Oh, as we're cutting welfare."

This is so unfair. Paul Ryan isn't anti-gay or anti-abortion. He simply chose those positions because they're popular in his party. Make them unpopular and he will vote the other way. Jeez you libs are so quick to cast a man as a bigot when he's simply just strategically adopting positions for political gain. I bet you hate Mitt too when he's simply trying to do what's right for himself. Typical.

Yep. We're going to have to start investigating the vagina of every woman in the country now, given the number of babies they murder on a regular basis. As you know, only a small fraction of embryos survive to term. Maybe we need to have every women get a permit before she has sex and then inspect her vagina afterwards.

Yes troll account. "The Bible tells us to kill homosexuals," that's ok. Totally not violent. It's those violent queers that are the hateful dangerous ones.

crazydave023: Seriously, what is the deal with Social Conservatives? What is their real agenda? Do they want everyone to be exactly like them and share the same views?

Yes, that is the conservative mindset. Their brains are literally wired differently from liberals. Their anterior cingulate gyrus (responsible for error-correction and learning from one's mistakes) is less developed, and their startle reflex (triggered from the amygdala) has been demonstrated in controlled studies to be stronger than liberals.

/This is where conservatives accuse scientists of eugenics over mere statements of fact.

Orwellian nomenclature and projection are well used tools for the GOP, more so this election than ever. It's so blatant this year I have to wonder if they can keep it up much longer without it backfiring and losing them some votes.

No surprise that this loony is a proponent of fetal personhood, a legislative agenda that hasn't even passed in the derpiest of the derpy southern states because of its obvious logical failures. It's just too shortsighted and idiotic for Paul Ryan to not endorse it.

It also, of course, means that the VP candidate believes the presidential candidate commited acts of murder when he had his children via IVF. Great ticket you got there, republicans!

Libs say that this is evidence that Paul Ryan doesn't care about women. That is so unfair. Paul Ryan is equal opportunity. He doesn't care about men, children, or anything non-Paul Ryan related.

You see, Paul is a true objectivist and he understands that you're all just parasites that are preventing him from having romance novel sex on a train inside of a mountain hideaway. Is that so hard to understand?

Oh fooey! I missed the meeting at the Pink Underground where we were secretly organizing our attack on FRC. It's my fault for being a bit too fashionably late, and forgetting the passphrase (I'll take 10 inches, please). Oh well, at least the post terrorist meeting after party was hawt.

Someone brought this up in another thread:
"Ask anyone who claims that an embryo is human with a soul this question; You're in a building burning. To your left is a six year old child with an injured leg. To your right is a medical freezer that you know contains 3000 fertilized embryos. You only have time to carry one to safety; the other will be consumed by the fire. Which do you save?"

CHECK HIS VOTING RECORD

Trick question. Saving either would slightly decrease the chance that they are able to save themselves. Therefore, they run out of the building and leave both to burn.

Ryan knows that he is on a loosing ticket, but when he looses it will be blamed on Mitt. This means that he gets national exposure and will be taken as the strongest candidate in 2016. Check his voting record, he is not some deficit hawk or apposed to spending. All he cares about are his own political gains and his budget was nothing but a brilliant political move........at the cost of a functioning congress.
