I wonder what he learned while his head was in the pillars. Whatever it was, it made his head bigger.

Subby's an idiot, it's obviously: "Confucius say: don't stick your farking head in the space between two stone pillars or the locals will laugh as the authorities try and extricate your head."

How the heck do you do that with a stone gap of more or less constant width, anyway? Wood and metal can flex at least a little, so I can see how that might work. Same goes if the gap tapers towards the bottom. But this kid's head is clearly thicker than the gap, and that gap was clearly not getting any wider. I can see how getting his head out of it would be a problem, but how did he get his head into it?

For that matter, how did these "hydraulic spreading pliers" not shatter the guardrail?

Shiat. Clearly his head fit going in one way. Here's what I would do: Go on the other side (where his head is sticking out), and give him a nice kick to the face until it pops out.

I did this as a kid in Italy, in a marble balustrade. Dad yanked me back out, causing ear pain and stress. Before snowflake kids and the internet.

Sadly, Confucius passed away long before the invention of manhole covers, or perhaps this squirrel's life would have been saved.

It's just like how you can put a finger in a ring and then not be able to get it out. It's because the skin bunches up when pushed in the opposite "non-capped" direction. If your finger in stuck in a ring often you can just pull the skin down tight and it will slip off as easy as it went on.

The gap was easily big enough for his head to fit through, it's just the skin on his cheeks and such bunched up going the other direction. Don't know if they tried pulling his skin tight from behind, maybe there wasn't enough room.

And the hydraulic spreader broke the concrete which is how they got him out. Looked really dangerous having that thing on top of his head though.

This happened to me at an amusement park when I was 8 or so. In the a line to a ride of some sort, there were these fences put up that have iron bars just large enough for me to put my head through. My dad and some employee there had to pull the iron bars open a little wider to let me squeeze my head back through.

It was very upsetting

I'm an authority on head extraction. It's always the ears. He'll slide out as easy as he slid in if you clamp a pair of ear crimps on him.

True story: if it doesn't have "Confucius say:" at the start, it's probably not a Confucian saying.

Would have been an awesome video if they set the pliers to close, not open.

And why does every Chinese language show have like three different subtitles going on? Didn't Mao get them all on the same page (no pun intended)?
