Vincent Harris ran digital operations for Speaker Newt Gingrich and Governor Rick Perry's 2012 Presidential campaigns.

There is no such thing as bad publicity, even when people mention Romney while passing this image on.

CorporatePerson: thurstonxhowell: Makes sense to me. Republicans are incredibly annoying on Facebook. I thought everyone knew that.

I remove people from my feed if they post more than one political thing in a day. I've never had to use that policy on a liberal.

Maybe I'm just young and foolish, but how is discourse in this country going to get better if we never talk about politics with the people we're close to? Seems to me like if we can't rely on Congress to work together instead of talking last each other, eventually we the people are gonna need to step out of our bubbles and actually discuss these things?

If its impolite to discuss politics at work, with family, with friends, on Facebook, at parties, then when are we supposed to talk about these things with one another?

You think that's bad? Try bringing up gun control.

impaler: I quick glance at my browser history has shown Romney has this election in the bag, although redtube.com also has a lot of support.

Yeah, based on my own history, our next president is going to be a heavily tattooed, large-breasted woman. How progressive of us!

And that's it in a nutshell. We all blame our politicians for being so horrible and incompetent, and not focusing on the issues, but we're just as guilty. They don't want to talk about these things because we don't want to talk about these things.

Ever wonder why the democrats are feckless cowards who are largely unwilling to take on the Republicans and their bullshiat? It's the same reason why you'd rather keep your mouth shut rather than tell your derpy uncle he's wrong.

Reminds me of a CSB someone here on Fark told. Farker was on a tour, and the tour guide said something demonstrably false. When the tour guide was called out on it by the Farker, the rest of the tour got angry at him for arguing.

Yeah, why is it socially acceptable to flat out lie, but it's some sort of faux pa to correct said liar?

At least two things wrong with the article. 1) the statement that Obama would need seven times as many people "talking about" his shiat on facebook to be "winning" the social media campaign because his facebook page has seven times as many "likes" (in fact, the only real comparison there, if facebook buzz is the metric, is the number of people in the "talking about" category), and 2) that the images used in the article show that Obama has just about 70,000 fewer people "talking about" his shiat than Romney does, when the text of the article represents the gap as closer to 200,000. Jesus fark guy, get your shiat together when you're interpreting data. Or at least get the data correct.

Or because some of us have the common courtesy not to start arguments at the dinner table. But you know, Uncle Derpy doesn't play by those rules and neither do his pals. :-D

That's so titillatingly bipartisan.

This must be Karl Rove's "The Internets", which are about as reality based as his "The Math".

FYI, it's not 'Deflator Mouse', it's 'Die Fledermaus'. It's german for 'The Bat'.

Social media data is junk. Paying attention to it is worse than a waste of time, it will mislead you.

cameroncrazy1984: That assumes that the people "interacting" with Mitt Romney's fb page are all positive. Somehow I doubt this.

My most recent interaction with his Facebook page was to share a photo of his someone shared with me. sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net

With in-character snark by Chicago wizard Harry Dresden:

"That's great, we were running low on division, anger, and hate around here. If we don't replenish our supplies soon hippie communes will start cropping up. I don't think anyone wants that."

Why yes...it is money, how did you guess?

Yep, fake hits. At first I was all "Do they really think we're stupid enough to not catch them at this?" but then it hit me like a punch with a frozen fist to the stomach, they don't care if we catch them. Their "news" outlets report the upsurge, ignore the immediate reports about it being fake, and the Base is happy.

Christ, this country is farked up.
