If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal.  -Alice Cooper

I love Alice. He's a lot smarter than most people give him credit for.

Sad thing is, Dave used to be a very Liberal guy, even was a very Dem-friendly correspondent for MTV News at the Democratic Convention in 1988. Now he's neck-deep in the Derp, or he's trying to pull a Reverse Dixie Chicks, which is even sadder than his just being a right-wing nutjob.

Regardless, the Left will ignore his Derp as the rantings of a wannabe Ted Nugent, and most on the Right will ignore him because he's still a long-haired freak singing that Devil Music. The only way Mustaine can make this work is if he shuts down Megadeth, and puts out a Country Gospel album, while renouncing the entirety of his musical career thus far and tosses in some good, old fashioned hatred for Obama.

I have found it a good policy, when people who are famous start talking about things they aren't famous for, to stop listening.

They're still a little sapped from being pissed off that the president uses basic eating utensils instead of eating his pork chop out of a feed trough. You'll have to give them a few hours. By which time, I'm sure, they'll have moved on to complaining about which way Obama hangs the toilet paper on the roll.

Give them a break. It's hard work being so outraged all the time, some things are bound to slip through the cracks.

Has anyone told him that the 80's are over? How can he look at pictures of himself and not see how ridiculous he looks? Everything from his hair to his clothes to the type of guitar he's playing is just pure 80's cheese, and he tops it all off with an annoying singing voice and a nonstop negative attitude.

Dude, you're 50, let it go.

randomjsa: dickfreckle: This is what happens when your homepage is Alex Jones' infowars.com.

/knows a guy who believes all this crap, and looks at me like I'm the wingnut when I ask what sort of evidence he's basing all this derp on.
//you should check out this website! it has all the info Obama's state press won't publishia

that's fine and all, but I'm guessing you don't go to any websites that support equally crack pot ideas that you're more keen on?

When you find one that's equally crackpot as InfoWars (AboveTopSecret is just a discussion board), let us know.

I agree with liberals when they express a low opinion of WND, but then I just have to roll my eyes when they go to Think Progress or something like that.

ThinkProgress actually links to citations. WND just gives a roomful of monkeys a box of keyboards.

But nice deflection. "InfoWars is crazy, sure...b-b-b-but some other site is just as bad and you love that unnamed, possibly nonexistent site!"

No different than what the left does. In fact, it's a standard rhetorical tactic used for thousands of years by assholes of all stripes: Push when you see an advantage, and ignore stuff that doesn't help you.

Don't pretend you are any better, either: The very fact that you're pushing this, combined with inflammatory rhetoric ("Stay Classy, Right wingers") shows that you are in fact engaging in the very same tactic you say you implore.

Nothing to see here. Move along. Just an old man trying to stay relevant.

I love Megadeth. Rust In Peace still gets regular plays from me. But Dave has gotten increasingly more insane since he went born again.

If I really, with my whole being, believed that my government was behind 9/11, mass shootings of civilians, yadda yadda... I sure as hell wouldnt be staying in this country or blabbing about it.
That would be incredibly stupid.
Which is why I dont think a lot of these people actually believe the shat that comes out of their mouths.
Or maybe they're hoping the big bad government will.. what? Kill them or attack them so they can become martyrs?
F that.

I've lost all respect for Dave and Megadeth at this point. Their last few albums fell flat, his hyperbole is out of control, and he's totally lost in his Christianity, which is at odds with his musical message. Drugs are bad, mmmkay?

Fark Dave Mustaine. While Rust in Peace is a metal masterpiece, he is a piece of shiat and I wouldn't feel sad if bad things happen to him. Fascists can make some good music, though. I will admit to enjoying some NSBM.
