Lando Lincoln: BrotherMalcolm: Cans are like mini kegs.

If cans were made of stainless steel, you'd be right.

I see what you did there.....

but, as you may well be aware, they do also make kegs out of aluminum (and wood, and plastic....). sure, when most of us think of "kegs" we envision the standard sankey fitted 15.5 gallon 304 stainless version.

BrotherMalcolm: Mean. You are messing with beer, man! And it's a low profit labor of love business! WTF.

Cans are like mini kegs. They protect the beer better than bottles. Zero light, almost no O2, they are easier to recycle, lighter to ship, and stack/ store easier than bottles.
O2 can actually fuse into beer under the crown caps - especially during temp fluctuations. Twist caps are the worst, then crown caps. Beer will skunk (become light struck) almost instantly in clear bottles, within minutes in blue bottles & green, and slowly over time in brown.

My one gripe with cans is that they are often lined with a petroleum based epoxy and the product contains Bisphenol A, or BPA.

Fusion in my beer bottles? I think I'd notice. That'd generate an awful lot of heat.

You mean air might leak into the bottle?

I'd think that be rare to happen, or you'd need really some pretty extraordinary temperature swings. Bottled beer is under positive pressure, which is why the CO2 remains dissolved.

And I thought I was pathetic for weighing 290 and benching 350

Not sure why that would be pathetic. Bench is all about your arm lengths and where your tendons attach. That being said, Anyone that can bench their own body weight, or more, is doing great.

Personally, I can't bench sh*t anymore, as I'm scared as hell to make my torn rotator cuff worse. I need my job more than the macho feeling of pushing up 8 plates.

Well I guess its pathetic to me because back in my day I was about 215 and could bench at least as much ( I didn't try to max a lot, so I'm honestly not sure what my true back in the day max was, probably 400 or so)

But um yeah about double ones lean weight(what you would weigh if you was in 6 pack shape if you currently aren't) is about the most you can bench no matter how much you go to the gym(in 26 minutes)

about ones lean weight is about the most that someone that doesn't lift a lot of weights will be able to bench even if they are like in 6 pack shape from doing a lot of running or aerobics or something but no weights

NIXON YOU DOLT!!!!!: gameshowhost:

I know the man in that picture. He died not long ago. He posted a heartwrenching video online shortly before he died about his struggles with his weight and basically how he knew it was going to cost him his life. He was a giant man with a giant heart.

I didn't mean it QUITE like that.....I know this is fark and all, and I've certainly posted my fair share of mockery! It's just bizarre to see a photo like that and go 'holy shiat, I actually know that guy!"

I'd be more than willing to share the video if you're interested, it's very powerful!
