perfect game and the Mariners only had 1 run, awesome.

2012-08-15 06:08:36 PM
You come at the King, you best not miss.

2012-08-15 06:08:40 PM
Trade him now, if history from the rest of the year is any indication.

Something for Mariners fans to be excited about.

He is absolutely filthy. Even home plate ump Rob Drake just said fark it.

Awesome to watch and it was the MLB.com Free Game of the Day!

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to leave the batter's box

Cool. My buddy is at the game and let me know this was happening. I was watching the stat tracker at work.

2012-08-15 06:10:12 PM
It almost looked unfair those last two innings. His stuff was just that good today

Struck out 5 of the last 6 batters too. Wow.

2012-08-15 06:10:38 PM
He let Tampa Bay get an error. That's only two goose eggs out of three.

2012-08-15 06:10:51 PM
how did this make front page? I refuse to look at the sports tab just to avoid this shiat...

2012-08-15 06:11:18 PM
@ByTimReynold: Matt Cain, Randy Johnson, Sandy Koufax and now Felix Hernandez -- perfect games with at least 12 Ks

2012-08-15 06:11:18 PM
Well, the Mariners have now played in two perfect games this year. I'm sure their fans prefer this one to the first one.

2012-08-15 06:11:31 PM
And I forgot to start him on my fantasy team.

Just delete your entire team if you seriously took Hernandez off your starting roster at any point this year.

If anyone says that - trolling or not - they are a moron. From wiki: "More people have orbited the moon than have pitched a major league perfect game."

If only there was some way to not click on the link, huh? I guess it's much better to click on it and then come off a whiny little biatch, though.

Marcus Aurelius: He let Tampa Bay get an error. That's only two goose eggs out of three.

Was he tagged with the error? If not, I'd still consider it a perfect game (as pitched).

You forgot Cain and Weaver. And like 6 other pitchers on the Mariners I guess.

It was a Tampa error not a Seattle error

Errors are defensive, the error was on Tampa's fielding, its immaterial to him pitching a perfect game.

The Rays are really good at giving up perfect games.

Some people don't like sports. I think it is strange, but whatever. However, you can always identify the socially retarded loser by finding the person who hates sports or biatches about it being considered part of our national fabric.

Didn't know that, but I'd also add that baseball has been played a lot longer than we've been in space.

When I have 3 pitchers that aren't him starting on the same day, yes I do take him off.

Also, I'm 2.5 games back from first place.

You somehow think he's the 4th best pitcher on your team? He's better than 4th best in all of MLB right now.

There are 3 pitchers in baseball worth starting over Felix right now?

Under "unhittable" in the dictionary, they got his picture. That last curve ball looked like it fell out of the damn stands.

Do you guys understand how fantasy baseball works?

2012-08-15 06:18:33 PM
Hell, it got so bad, even Joe Maddon said fark it and got tossed out in the 7th so he didn't have to stick around and watch anymore....

2012-08-15 06:18:49 PM
So that's 3 perfect games agaisnt the Rays in the past three seasons? Wow, and they've been a really good team that entire time, too. You'd figure it would have happened when they were losing 158 games a year, but now? And 3 times in 36 months? Wow.

When Bud Norris is on the rubber for Houston, you just gotta ride that wave.

2012-08-15 06:19:29 PM
In a single season, King Felix managed to pitch a perfect game and break A-Rod's wrist. THIS MAN IS MY HERO.

2012-08-15 06:19:47 PM
There is something out of whack with the game right now. When either the pitching or the hitting has such a tremendous advantage over the other something is wrong. It's not exactly 1968, but it's close, almost like the leagues just expanded and the pitching is getting fat for a change. They need to make some sort of adjustment this off-season.

2012-08-15 06:19:58 PM
Maddon didn't get tossed, but should have. Fark yeah, Felix!
