I feel like Obama won't have a hard time saying "No you guys go, we're good"

Romney, on the other hand, won't be able to jump onboard fast enough.

2012-08-15 06:38:37 PM
Which 500?

2012-08-15 06:38:37 PM
It will also pay for itself with Iranian oil revenues and the Iranian people will greet you as liberators.

Looks like Israel is slowly coming to the cold realization that the US is kinda busy right now, militarily speaking, and this president isn't going to be double-dog dared into a war with Iran (and that he's gonna be the guy in charge for the next four years)

So now they are trying to pysche themselves into doing it on their own.

Bad Move. You all used to be the conference powerhouse what with the Six Day War and all, but your most recent game was an away game tie against a division IIA opponent (Hezbollah)

Israel goes to war with the army it has, not the army it wishes America had.

Israel 'prepared for 30-day war with Iran'

Well, shiat, they'd better hope that Iran isn't prepared for a 31 day war, or they're totally farked, now aren't they?

Don't forget Russia.
We can kick of Revelations if we do this right, and hopefully all those preachy Christians and the rest of God's People will get Raptured away and leave the rest of us in peace.

Are there Jewish unicorns? We'll need some of those, too.

FTA: "There is no room for hysteria," said the former general, who is stepping down at the end of August to become Israel's ambassador to China.

I read this as "There's no end of room for hysteria".

Good luck Israel, we in the United States are not interested in helping your in your pre-emptive strike.

We tried that once, and it failed. It cost us (and still is costing us) about 3 trillion dollars.

There has been a good deal of comment - some of it quite outlandish - about what our postwar requirements might be in Iraq. Some of the higher end predictions we have been hearing recently, such as the notion that it will take several hundred thousand U.S. troops to provide stability in post-Saddam Iraq, are wildly off the mark. It is hard to conceive that it would take more forces to provide stability in post-Saddam Iraq than it would take to conduct the war itself and to secure the surrender of Saddam's security forces and his army - hard to imagine. --Paul Wolfowitz Feb 2003

/he was right about the figures being wrong. it took 1.5 million troops to "secure and hold" Iraq.

2012-08-15 06:42:53 PM
Also, what happens after 30 days that causes the conflict to end?

What does isreal do say "We blew up all your equipment and factories and stuff. We're chill now right?" Assume that isreal does manage to decimate Iran's army to such an extent that Iran can't wage 'proper' war after 30 days... doesn't this just mean they now have for face an intense suicide bombing and shelling campaign?

Thats really the thing I don't get about the whole "Invade Iran" thing: how can it possibly end in a good way?

2012-08-15 06:43:09 PM
We'll be greeted as liberators and with all that oil gas prices will plummet. I'm just afraid for the poor oil companies who won't make as much money with prices that low, we'll probably need to buff up their subsidies.

How did we get in this position, America? A country that's.. what... 70 years old? These guys have a stranglehold on us because ??? Let's let them send their sons and daughters to a war of choice if they want. We can't afford it.

2012-08-15 06:43:09 PM
I hope Romney wins so I can learn Farsi for the war with Iran that will last a decade and break the fiscal standing of the US even further! That would just be swell! Then Israel will know we support them and the Republican lawmakers can stop pandering to them like they are registered to vote in all elections everywhere in the entire US.

2012-08-15 06:43:23 PM
They'll be greeted as liberators, right?

RIGHT?

"Hey y'all ... watch this!"

I would hate to see the kind of insurgency the revolutionary guard could wage. It would make Iraq and Afghanistan look like a Sunday picnic in the park.

It was funny then, now it's kinda sad.

Iran killed the quote button, I say we nuke those bastards.

Oh and that preview button needs to be nuked from orbit too.

I would say let the dumbass Israelis do it. But we'd get dragged into it one way or another. If it not Israel biting off more than it can chew then its going to at least be terrorists.

2012-08-15 06:47:00 PM
This has less to do with Iran getting a warhead anytime soon and more to do with influencing the US election - our election in Nov figures into just about every piece they are running in their media over there.

They sent their bagman, Adelson, over here with a billion dollars to ensure that the schwarze doesn't get a second term - all because Obama hasn't kissed their ass enough for stealing land and starving people to death.

Never again... will we be the ones on this side of the barbed wire.

Funny I mentioned the same thing to a friend when discussing the current US wars.

God's chosen people don't need your approval.
If it threatens the Holy Land then it should be exterminated.
I can't believe so many people here are so anti-semetic.
You'll learn soon enough.

The nice thing about preemptive strikes, they never piss off the country attacked. The other country is all like "Ha, good one! You really got us that time."

Quote thingie not working. Dumasses ever hear of debugging?
