Yes. And Arnold Schwarzenegger will defeat him. Arnold and Karl Rove will ride in to save the nation. Truly, it will be glorious to have President Arnold name Grover Norquist as Secretary of State...

Sounds good, as long as the animal in question isn't a sloth.

Run "again" in 2016?

I don't even see him running now.

All he is doing is complaining about Romney - he isn't running on his record or how he is actually going to have better results than his current term.

He said it himself, if the economy doesn't turn around, he will be a one termer.

2012-08-15 06:49:46 PM
Okay.

Obama loses narrowly. Romney remains unlikable. Subby begins dating Natalie Portman. No new, compelling Democrat rises to power.

Now what?

Given the proposed event time line, I seriously doubt if he would. He hasn't exactly had a walk in the park dealing with his opponents in his current term. If he lost to Mittens he would probably conclude that his general popularity simply wasn't high enough to justify another run. At least, I think that's how I would take it were I in his shoes. But then, my popularity has always been in the toilet, so I might be baised in this view.

And yet conservatives are the one's screaming voter fraud from the rafters.

Make it Natalie Portman, Emma Stone, and Mila Kunis. It's probably more likely than this scenario.

What exactly is Romney running on? Other tha "Obama bad!" of course.

2012-08-15 07:05:48 PM
If this unlikely scenario were to happen, yes.

Will it happen? I'd wager 3-to-4 no, because he'll get his second term in 2012. Romney needs to turn the electoral polling massively just to not get wiped off the floor.

2012-08-15 07:06:28 PM
The comments in that article really take derp to new levels. They're all starting with the assumption that Romney will win, only a question as to the margin. One guy says Obama doesn't even want to be president anymore... lolwut?

2012-08-15 07:08:28 PM
Uh...these guys are trying to take over the country and turn us back to 1950. Anyone else a little scared by this?

As a country and as a planet, we need to completely obliterate these crazies this fall.

2012-08-15 07:08:51 PM
It's hard to imagine Romney not winning a second term.

2012-08-15 07:10:49 PM
Obama already had to deal with Bush's 8 year farking over the country and raping the Constitution. He had to deal with a Republican Congress who wanted nothing more than to make Obama a one term President no matter what it did to the country.

So Obama loses this race (LOL, yeah right) and comes back in 2016? Comes back to what? And even worse economic clusterfark, wars in Syria and Iran and probably Iraq again? Obama, as your attorney I advise you to find a bomb shelter somewhere if you lose this re-election.

2012-08-15 07:11:17 PM
He certainly could. I don't think that situation will turn up, but it's happened before. It's even been won before: only once, but the whole situation has only even come up a couple of times.

2012-08-15 07:13:22 PM
If that happened (and even If he gets a second term) I could totally see him being sec state for whomever the next dem president is, considering how epically he executed foreign policy in his first term.

2012-08-15 07:16:25 PM
Let's make it Emma Samms, Phoebe Cates, and toss Emma Stone in there to keep the older ladies on their toes.

His record as Governor of Massachusetts.
His record in business (Bain Capital).
His rescue of the financially troubled Salt Lake Olympics.

Well, there's always Ryan's Congressional voting record.
And Ryan's budget proposal.

Uhm....

OBAMA BAD!

Police State
Vassalage

Free Market
Theocracy

I know from experience this is NOT a winning formula. Unless you plan on Domination Victory and perpetual war.
