If you're going to use a meme where the text is important, you really should find a copy of it where some dumbass website hasn't smeared its watermark feces over half of the text.

NateGrey: Cat Food Sandwiches: I can just see the unemployed citizen (who bought gas at double the price it was when Obama took over) drive his 10 year old car to the voting place and saying "You know, I'm not voting for a guy that belongs to the party that caused our credit rating to be downgraded."

No they will drive there because Romney and Republican policies will take money from his paycheck so that Romney can pay 0.82% in taxes.

What paycheck? He's unemployed.

thrgd456: do you think the downgrade had anything to do with the 15 trillion dollar debt?

The downgrade had a lot to do with the Republicans trying to force a default on the 15 trillion dollar debt, yes.

*Cut his unemployment benefits so the CEO at his old job can pay 0.82% in taxes

CheapEngineer:

Of course, Obama couldn't get anything done because of the right-wing. Remember when he wanted to pass Obamacare, but he couldn't? Or when he wanted to pass a huge "stimulus" but he couldn't? Or when he wanted to pass a huge "financial reform" bill, but couldn't?

Isn't it funny how everything is the GOP's fault to some people? Even when Obama got his supposed signature achievement passed, the left can't help but attack the GOP.

You want a list of things that the Democrats wanted to pass but weren't able to because of Republicans? It's a hell of a lot longer than the list of things that did pass.

Bag of Hammers: GOP 2012

America: If we can't have you, no one can!

You laugh, but I'm convinced that the GOP is America's estranged stalker boyfriend.

Think about the usual signs that someone is a stalker. We're talking about people who are convinced that they're the ONLY ones who love America, and that no one can possibly love America like they can. They don't care whether it hurts America or not so long as they're the only ones who get to be with her. But their love is incredibly possessive, as they isolate her from other ideas and opinions.

So they keep harassing America into paying attention to them. No matter how much America says that she doesn't want them, that they're hurting her, they slowly cut her off financially and socially. America might want more financial independence, broader gay rights, better access to healthcare, a stronger infrastructure, and a wider choice in alternative energy providers, but the GOP is going to make sure she's dependent on them for these things or she won't get them at all.

One thing that some stalkers do is force their victims into a position where they have to be rescued - letting the air out of her tires at the mall or something. So the GOP will happily hurt America if it means they can ride to the rescue and win the attention of a rescuer. Finally, after repeated unwanted contact and refusals, the stalker turns angry and threatens violence against the victim. If they can't have her, no one can.

The stalker and the victim may have gone out on a few dates and had a few laughs, but that was years ago. It's over now. America has moved on. She has different priorities and interests now, and those just aren't compatible with the GOP anymore. Threatening to tear her apart if the GOP can't have her is only hurting her, but stalkers are selfish and don't give a damn what's best for their victims, so long as they get their way.

Microscopic thumbs are bad, but jackoff websites who put their watermark on a farking picture they just stole off the internet like everyone else did are the real people who should be blamed, and then flogged.

Hey, just because you can't keep all your people in lockstep every day doesn't make it *my* fault.

Apparently there were a few bills that a scant few Republicans agreed with. Sometimes that happens - your minions don't always fall in line. You should do something about that. Vote 'em out and replace em with nice pliable Tea Party types - they'll follow orders much better than the old "establishment" Republicans that occasionally feel the need for independent thought.

Halli: So you're just ignoring the whole debt ceiling thing? Good for you.

What "Debt ceiling thing"???

THE DEBT CEILING GOT RAISED. The government did not shut down. We did not default on any payments. Please explain how this is the House GOP's fault

.

iaazathot: Dude, if lies is all you have, your doomed.

IN other words, you have no argument, so you call my points "lies" Please point to something I"ve said which is untrue.

HeartBurnKid: The downgrade had a lot to do with the Republicans trying to force a default on the 15 trillion dollar debt, yes.

Lies. The republicans never pushed a plan to default on the debt. Even Michelle Bachman, derpy as she may be said the US would never miss a debt payment and that a government shutdown would have nothing to do with the US making payments on its debt.

2012-08-16 09:38:01 PM
Remember, the GOP publicly stated that the most important thing, more important than the citizens of the United States even, is that "Obama is a one-term president".

Why should we continue to support these people, especially when they've been intentionally sabotaging everything that tries to be done?

"Romney's health care system for his state is amazing! YAAAAY!!"
"Obama's taking Romney's plan and applying it to the entire country? EVIL SOCIALIST DEMON MONSTER DESTROYING AMERICA!!!!!"

Many teabaggers pushed for a default. Did you even read why S&P said they did the downgrade?

And again, I ask you if the debt ceiling got raised and if we defaulted on any payments

Many teabaggers pushed for a default. Did you even read why S&P said they did the downgrade?

No, you're lying or stupid. Nobody was pushing for a default. The debt would have continued to be paid. Default does not equal shutdown. I ready every word of the reasons why The S&P downgraded the credit rating. A lot of it had to do with a failure of the government to address the budgetary challenges which goes hand in hand with the president refusing to cut a penny off the budget and thinking that some fairness in taxation linked to the buffett rule is going to raise enough revenue to offset a $1.4Tn deficit. even though it raises half that over 10 years.

Teabaggers, most importantly including large numbers of U.S. congresspersons, exploited every procedural bushwack ever conceived to push a default in order to extort compliance with their outrageous self-serving demands.

So you say it's not true that "Mrs. Soptic maintained her own health insurance for several years after her husband's plant was shut down (two years after Romney left Bain)" and so CNN was knowingly reporting false information?

Or, to put it another way, if the woman maintained her own health insurance after her husband lost his job, a job he would have lost sooner if Romney hadn't invested in the company trying to save it, how is the ad not false in saying that Romney contributed to her death?

Here is just Alan West threatening a default. There was loads of these teabaggers doing that.
