That's all you got? You aren't actually working on the Romney campaign, are you? it would explain much.

I suspect that half the trolls on the politics tab are working for a campaign or a PAC or something similar.

Both campaigns?

Nonemployment went up during the Bush years due to liberal ideas being practiced by business but as soon as they put godfering common cents into play we ended up with private job growth.

He isn't defending himself on some sort of criminal charge, is he?

He's running for President, I last thought.

For someone not on trial, he seems awfully fond of pleading the fifth.

Since the Dems are engaging in McCarthyism, the 5th is not a bad plan.

Let the Dems bring out their evidence that supposedly supports their lies. I think that would be fun.

But at long last, the Dems have no shame. EVAR.

I realize that Romney doesn't have much hope of carrying Illinois...but is this "let's paint Chicago as Sodom/Gomorrah" really a good idea? Do they not realize that Chicago happens to be a part of America too? Obviously politicians have been exploiting the divisions between City and Country forever - but I feel like this is the first time anyone running for office has blatantly tried to turn anyone against a specific place. Hell, even Sarah Palin had the sense to make a vague "real America" comment rather than literally saying "I love being out here, as opposed to New York, which is infested with Jews, queers, and gangbangers."

sammyk: FTFA:Romney lashed out at Obama, describing him as "intellectually exhausted, out of ideas and out of energy." As a result, Romney said, Obama and his allies are running a campaign based on personal attacks rather than "fresh ideas."

This whole talking point of Obama not having a plan is going to backfire badly. If I could bet on it my money would say team Obama will unviel a plan at the DNC to get maximum exposure. You can bet there will be tax reform in there, polish up the loose jobs plan congress wont move on and a few others.

Its the most obvious case of rope-a-dope I have ever seen. The Rmoney campaign takes these cheap shots daily and they are not sticking. I don't think there will be one knockout punch. But I do think the Obama campaign will change gears and take down everyone of these laughable talking points on by one.

I hadn't thought of this, but it could well be the case. Obama does run on his record. He does talk specifics. If all they have is calling him an empty suit, this play would be par for the course for Jedi Obama.

It wouldn't be the first time the Right has stumbled balls-first into his trap.

Romney really isn't getting a noticeable VP bounce, and I doubt he's going to see the same level of convention bounce as Obama will. I think polling from DNC on out is going to be very bad... for Romney.

Well, the DJIA isn't rated by dollars, for one thing. It's just points. (Pedant mode...off! BEEEOoooooo...) Also, even though under Obama we've added about 4M *private sector* jobs, we've also shed a lot of government jobs. Part of the reason why unemployment is still pretty high.

Ironic, huh? Cut government spending, lose jobs, unemployment stays high.

Under Obama there is net job loss farktard. Only if you discount his first 13 months is there growth. Things your chart misses:

Record spending at 24% gdp
Historically low labor participation rates
New highs for all welfare programs

You do realize you lied.

"If people had been in Massachusetts, under Governor Romney's health care plan, they would have had health care. There are a lot of people losing their jobs and losing their health care in President Obama's economy." - Romney press secretary Andrea Saul

1. Romney didn't say it, his press secretary did
2. Never said the commercial was correct. Said Romney was long gone from Bain and running the Salt Lake City Olympics when the guy was laid off. The wife had her own health plan at the time and died two years later.
3. Said she would have had coverage under Romneycare, not that the plan would have magically cured her cancer.

Yeah, Mittens, you're doing a GREAT job. Keep going!

Places that are not Real America:
West Coast (47.8 million people)
Northeast (55,317,240 people)
Chicagoland (9,729,825 people)

So over 1/3rds of Americans are disqualified from being Real Americans as a matter of geography. Throw in all the black people that aren't JC Watts and Herman Cain, along with the gays, the feminazis, the 50% of Americans that voted for Obama, the people who went to colleges that aren't Liberty University or Texas A&M, and people who don't enjoy Lee Greenwood.

So we're left with about 10% of Americans that could ever qualify as Real Americans.

Everytime Romney opens his mouth, he says something so stupid, so dumb that I am in shock that his campiagn doesn't try to reign him in. He sounds like your typical Teabilly idiot crossed with an out of touch rich guy who has never had to do anything for himself. I almost wonder if he says stupid shiat like this to "fit in" with the Teabilly shortbus morons. He is perhaps overcompensating.

To be honest, Obama knows how to campaign. He does it really, really well. Romney is also giving him plenty of ammo though and that certainly doesn't hurt. I do like how they associate Chicago with the President. It's what made the US look like a bunch of buffoons when the Olympics were getting sited in 2008.

I laugh whenever I see a Romney sticker on a car now. I laugh hard. Because that sucker has just put a semi-permanent mark of their idiocy on their car.
