Admitting it when you were wrong is a sign of adulthood.

I can see why NewsBusters has a problem with this.

2012-08-15 09:05:59 AM
So what your saying is that HuffPo admits their mistakes?

Yeah, they sound pretty evil.

2012-08-15 09:09:17 AM
Say what you will, but I bet that both Romney and Ryan can name all 57 states.

2012-08-15 09:09:40 AM
There is a Fox New? Any improvement on the old?

2012-08-15 09:12:22 AM
More likely Fox changed their story when they realized they were called on it.
But yeah, It's ok to admit when you farked up. I think the fact that it took a while for Mittens to realize what he did, which is a pretty significant fark up, is important. If he had corrected himself immediately, well, fine, but to have to come back to the podium....damn... And did one of his staffers have to point it out to him?

2012-08-15 09:17:17 AM
So does NewsBusters ever comment on the countless lies, fakes and propaganda on Fox News that Jon Stewart and others dredge up from week to week?

The old one was fixed.

There is no new.

So while they didn't doctor it, they presented it as the first time Romney introducing Ryan as his running mate.

meh, I don't care

Interesting that you should mention that. Obama's handlers made a big deal out of the fact that he wasn't going to use the teleprompter anymore. Then, after he stuck his foot in his mouth a couple of times, they quietly brought it back. Unfortunately, this is not a joke. The teleprompter is the smart one of the two.

Yes, it is always good to diminish the accomplishments of successful people. Sadly, this is not a joke either. "You didn't build that" may very well cost him the election.

Any other requests.

This might be a fun time to show a reputable source on that.

Considering how often you put your foot in your mouth, I would recommend getting an auto-cue for yourself since you think so highly of them.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on whether "Washington Examiner reporting an anonymous source" counts as "reputable" or not.

And just for fun:

FTFA:

Hipsters across the nation took great glee (while trying desperately to remain nonchalant) in replaying YouTube clips of Romney's error.

The word "hipsters" has officially ceased to have any meaning whatsoever in any context. He may as well have used the word "refrigerators".

If someone brings up Romney's tax returns for any one of the returns from the last 10 years or brings up any one of his daily gaffes it's "Why are you picking on us? Lamestream media is talking about old shiat! Waaa!" but dammit if that "57 state" thing from years ago doesn't rise time and time again.

And of course the "you didn't do this" thing that has been repeatedly debunked as taken out of context but that's all they have and to conservatives, it doesn't matter if there isn't a reliable source or if it's valid. As long as you say it, it's too late. By the time it's debunked, it has already rooted itself into the brain of the public consciousness.

Pretty farking desperate, guys.

The word "hipter" officially ceased to have any meaning whatsoever the microsecond the internet heard it. It's the new "socialist"

Strange that the things that would cost a Democrat the election would be the things that help propel Republicans to higher status and positions and rally the base to unquestioningly defend them.

Kind of reminds me of a recent discussion with a co-worker.

Him: MSNBC hsd apologized for getting caught lying way more than Fox News.

Me: Right. Because when Fox News gets caught lying, they don't apologize for shiat because they flat out don't give a fark.

Him: **yells at clouds**

It comes right after Romney admits "you didn't build that" was about infrastructure and not the businesses themselves.

So it sounds like they cherry picked the footage they wanted from the speech, selectively editing the speech for the bits they wanted. In other words, choosing the non-flubbed part because they knew that it didn't have the mistake in it. Huff Post was actually half right.
