More than once I asked him why he thought it was OK to tell the world (well, "friends of friends" -- strangers nonetheless) when his wife and 2-year-old daughter were going to be home alone.

Another's announcement that they'd be out of the country for 10 days got a puzzled response from me.

I do the opposite. I announce I'll be out of town then don't go and wait.

Say NO then, people! Christ. ANGRY BIRDS doesn't need your location. Using Maps, sure, but don't complain about stalking because you're too lazy to click No to a pop-up.

I was adding a station in iHeart Radio a few minutes ago and looked at settings. Found a setting within the app set to use current location or zip code. The default setting is current location. I, like the post above, turn off all location services for apps except those that actually need to know location. Chances are the in app option trumps general settings options.

I don't really care if iheart radio knows my location I just don't like not knowing and the battery draw.

I do get a kick out of all the uproar when this type of thing is done by the evil gubberment even when they have a warrant.

Maybe the US should replace all the laws on the books with a 1028 page user agreement all citizens must accept to live in the States. People don't seem to give a fark about tracking etc when ad companies do it.
