Ryan: "President Obama, never once, ever, has offered a plan to ever balance the budget".

And there you go. You can go with Obama and continue digging that hole or you can go with Romney and have some hope that we will recover from the current economic nightmare.

Ryan is a smart guy. He is probably one of the few elected officials in Washington who understands economics and the budgeting process. It's painfully clear that Obama doesn't.

No, I don't want to sleep with him, but I would take him out to lunch at Chick-fil-A.

Those tax cuts for the wealthy aren't going to pay for themselves, you know. If poor people weren't so lazy they would hire their own damn lobbyists to bribe Congress into giving them massive budget busting breaks.

And if Obama does win a second term, the temporary Bush tax cuts for the wealthy will most likely expire, balancing the budget all by themselves. Then where will we be?

Yeah, Ryan is a smart guy and deficit hawk.... as long as there doesn't happen to be a Republican in office:

I bet those tax cuts will lead to higher revenue one of these days!

Romney has his own economic plans, vague as they may be, and his campaign has tried to emphasize they're different from Ryan's.

What farking economic plans.....they have been kept as hidden as his tax returns. The most significant thing we've been told is that they are different from anyone else's. Mitt's problem is that he is the epitome of an untrustworthy politician who hold no true moral standing and will change his position to whatever he feels will get him in power. The fact that the key to winning this election falls on his economic plan and all he has said is "trust me" is so farking idiotic that he had to pick one of the most partisan republicans in the party, Ryan, in order to convince life-long-GOP voters to actually show up to the polls.

Not to mention that balancing the budget during a recession is the opposite of what you should be doing. You should run a defecit during bad years. The problem was that we didn't save money during the good times. That's the whole grasshopper and the ant thing. Or whatever the story is. Lazy mouse and industrious mouse.

"I don't want to get wonky on you"

Big ideas! Serious issues! Wonky! Math!

I am serious and committed to fiscal issues and deficit reduction, by supporting increased spending proposed by Republicans, cutting taxes on rich people and increasing defense spending which will fix everything by magic, and math, and wonkiness.

Someone please stop pretending this clown cares a bit about the deficit, and hold up Part D, Iraq and the tax cuts in his face, make him explain why he suddenly cared in 2009 and why he thinks only poor people should be responsible for the mess he helped create. He is not a wonk, not serious, not a big or deep thinker, he is an orthodox republican who enabled Bush to spend his way into a deep and harmful recession and is now trying to use that, and an earnest look, to take things away from the poors.

I'd also like to ask our Republican as well as conservative Farkers this.

Why do you suppose the expenditures are in excess of the 20% of GDP. Was there any sort of worldwide financial crisis and massive recession that might have prompted a government response from not one but two separate White House administrations?

I agree, but first we have to pass laws to ensure those lobbyists are not in any way labor unions, ACORN, or any other group that actually represents poor and working people, but not any Job Creators. I recommend making it legal for the poor to give money to the corporation or Job Creator-sponsored PAC whose lobbyists most closely represent their political views.

Half truths and you know it. I'd go as far as lies, because Ryan's budget is DOA in the Senate, just like what has left the House in earlier years, things filled with poison pill amendments or blocked with obstructionism.

Democrats: Excuse me a sec. What are you babbling about?
Paul Ryan: Well, what I had said was I'm a policy wonk, uh, foreign policy, and ecom... economic policy.
Democrats: Hey, Cherry. Are you an economics policy wonk?
Voters*: That's an academic thing.
Democrats: So?
Voters*: So economic policy isn't the same as other kinds of policies.
Democrats: Ah... but to wonks like him, they are. What do you guys do in your plan?
Paul Ryan: Well, we... we talk about spending, cutting spending.
Democrats: So it's a sorta policy...demented and sad, but a plan. Right?

Those life-long GOP voters, a fairly large chunk of them being old and middle aged white people, may change their minds once they look into the legislative record of the guy who would be one step away from The Big Chair. You know, the guy that has tried to privatize their social security and medicare several times when he's not trying to eliminate them altogether. The guy that's tried to make hormonal birth control and abortion illegal and punishable by imprisonment. The guy that has written and pushed legislation in congress to grant a fertilized egg all the legal rights and privileges of a person.

That guy.

Smart politicians have known for decades there are several "third rail" topics you do not touch. Ryan hasn't learned yet, and he's going to be shocked (pun intended) when he steps outside the RNC echo chamber and has to start dealing with the real world.
