You wouldn't think they would be so desperate to make a big deal out of nothing considering Ryan just got added to the ticket. You would think now would be the time to talk up the R/R positives. But this is all they have and they are going to cry about the Obama campaign going negative.

2012-08-15 09:39:55 AM
Well, the Republicans are pretty expert in using racial code words, so I'm half-inclined to agree.

I can't wait for someone in the Obama campaign to get asked about these constant complaints from Romney and just, "What? Is Mitt Romney crying about tough campaigning again? How does this guy expect to run a world power with skin that thin?"

Keep letting them build the personaof the whiner, then shut them the fark down.

they have no positives. all they have is negatives. but they don't want Obama running a "dirty" campaign.

These are the the same people who buried the announcement of Ryan as the VP on a Saturday morning during the Olympics. It appears they are embarrassed to have picked Ryan.

If Romney can't even handle some divisive rhetoric from Obama and Biden he is going to shiat himself dealing with some Somali pirates or Putin, do you really want a president that soils himself like a dog in a crate attached to a car going down the highway???

This is the reaction to the racial code words that were a reaction to the non-racial code words as used by the Romney team. Or something

*Dismissive jerking hand motion*

I love when these plutocratic assholes get all offended when someone explains in blunt terms what they want to do to the poor and middle classes.

The whining is hilarious coming from a campaign that has put out nothing but negative bullshiat for the last year or so.

Toughen up, Nancy.

Biden should call a press conference to apologize for his remarks.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. I would like to apologize for my comments yesterday that have gained so much attention. They have been interpreted in a negative fashion by our opponents and used to distract from the real issue at hand here: Mitt Romney is thin-skinned, entitled, self-serving, douchebag, and I question his qualifications to even be considred a man, much less run for the highest office in our great nation. I believe he is a craven, unhinged asshole that would fark his own horse if there were enough money in it for him. In closing, fark him and fark that Ryan asshole that's running with him. Good day."

Okay, let's see:

The incumbent VP is running on class warfare. He's using metaphors such as 'chains' to showcase how most Americans feel right now: trapped in an economic system that is letting the rich run rampant over everybody else, destroying America.

The man running Romney's show--a Reaganite--completely ignores this and suddenly lashes racial meaning onto it, proving two things: Republicans see slavery as a racial term (not all slaves are black!) and completely ignoring class warfare.

Sticking your head in the sand never works in the long run, and apparently the Republicans have no counter to class warfare at all, so they're desperately trying to change it to something else. This will not end well for Romney or the Republicans because it shows their continued inability to really see how bad things are for most Americans, or the power of the 99% message that the Republicans really can't counter for shiat.

2012-08-15 10:49:02 AM
"Well, there's going to be folks across the country that will try and take that as some kind of code word that is going to suggest that the Republicans are trying to be racial in their programs," Sununu said. "That's ridiculous. "

Wow, John, you really sound... concerned.

We need a "got nothing" tag.

/Hot like the RR campaign is not.

2012-08-15 10:49:04 AM
It was a dumb comment, until I heard the context (on dirty leftist NPR of course). Biden's speech goes through Romney's statement of "unshackling business" and then says that the middle class was in "chains" last time they tried that. So "putting you back in chains" was referring to his earlier statement of the last time they tried supply-side voodoonomics, not slavery.

// "didn't build that" all over again

And yet it's okay when a republican likens health care to the Pearl Harbor attacks as a day that will live in infamy.

Ok then.

2012-08-15 10:51:12 AM
From the Obama campaign: "For months, Speaker Boehner, Congressman Ryan, and other Republicans have called for the 'unshackling' of the private sector from regulations that protect Americans from risky financial deals and other reckless behavior that crashed our economy. Since then, the Vice President has often used a similar metaphor to describe the need to 'unshackle' the middle class. Today's comments were a derivative of those remarks, describing the devastating impact letting Wall Street write its own rules again would have on middle class families. We find the Romney campaign's outrage over the Vice President's comments today hypocritical, particularly in light of their own candidate's stump speech questioning the President's patriotism. Now, let's return to that 'substantive' debate Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan promised 72 hours ago, but quickly abandoned."

Well, one would think the GOP would love that kind of language, what with them being the party of emancipation and....

I saw Sarah Palin saying that Biden should be dropped from the ticket.

Let's make sure we get this right:

Sarah Palin.

Said that a VP should be dropped from the ticket because of something stupid he said.

Sarah. Palin.

Seriously.

But the best part isn't even that...she says he should be replaced with Hillary Clinton and even admits that would make an Obama win more likely.

Link

:CAUTION - WORD SALAD AHEAD:

There weren't enough groans and boos when he said such a disgusting comment, really, especially to a demographic there that is -- includes about 48 percent of the community being black Americans.

Greta, if that's not the nail in the coffin, really, the strategists there in the Obama campaign have got to look at a diplomatic way of replacing Joe Biden on the ticket with Hillary. And I don't want to throw out that suggestion and have them actually accept the suggestion because then an Obama-Hillary Clinton ticket would have a darn good chance of winning.

But really, Joe Biden really drags down that ticket.

I read the transcript, and yes, Greta, I think that Governor Romney now, having spent years, literally, running for president, has really grasped the notion now that this is not a dress rehearsal. This is it. So he has to use these powerful and truthful and accurate words to describe what President Obama is running on and what he is doing to America.

Romney's coming out swinging. This is what we need. I think that Paul Ryan has helped energize Governor Romney. And this is all good for America because we will hear more accurately the state of the union and the state of this campaign.

Yes, and Joe Biden isn't unhinged today in the words that the said? No, again, Governor Romney is on the right track there and kind of taking some gloves off and saying, Enough is enough of the failed policies of Obama as reflected even by the failed messaging through their campaign. It is a negative, dirty campaign coming from the Obama administration.

There are only two people in this country who have ever had to run against Barack Obama and his machine, and that's John McCain and myself when we ran in '08. I know what this is about. I know how dirty they can get. They continue to be dirty.

And Governor Romney has every right in the world -- in fact, he has a responsibility to take those gloves off, let Americans know what this campaign is all about, his side and Obama's side, and let the voters decide if we want to empower individuals and allow America to grow and into a more prosperous and secure and voluntarily generous nation, or if we want to grow government under Obama -- such a clear, clear choice that we have.

And yet we're not, Greta -- and yet -- and yet we're not absent from an accurate message about how to get the economy back on the right track coming from the Romney campaign. But because the media so willingly protects Barack Obama and his failed policies, it's tough through the filter of the mainstream media to hear that message.

That's why voters need to do their own homework. They can't listen to that 90 percent of the liberal media and expect to hear what the truth is coming out from the White House's messaging and the Obama campaign's messaging about the true state of the union.

But we're not without the solutions and the proposals. Paul Ryan has actually proposed a budget, a pathway to prosperity that anybody can read if voters do their own homework and not rely on their liberal media.

Now, thus far, Barack Obama, because of the lapdogs in the media protecting him and being such experts at distracting the American voter with irrelevant issues that continue to bombard voters -- because of what the media has done to protect Barack Obama thus far, Obama has had to pay no price for his failed policies.

I think that's going to change in these next 80-some days as more and more Americans are deciding, yes, we won't rely on media, we're going to do our own homework and we're going to hear these solutions from Ryan's budget proposals and from Romney's proposals.

Name one -- name one prominent Republican who even comes close to what like the Alan Graysons, the Harry Reids, the Joe Bidens come up with and spew to the American public. I can't think of one prominent Republican who talks the way that they talk and certainly wouldn't get away with the way that they talk.

Well, the Democrats have in their back pocket all these negative distractions, these distracting messages to spew and try to ram down the voters' throats here, and they'll do that throughout all these primaries as we head into the general.

And they do that because they do want to distract away from the failed policies that the Democrats embrace, where they do want to grow government because they truly believe that government is the solution, is the answer, when you know, most common sense fiscal conservatives, people who work very hard and don't want to be dependent on government, understand that government is the problem.

I am so anxious to hear new voices, to see these new faces. What I said in '08 still stands true today, as I predicted what would happen when Barack Obama had opportunity to fulfill his promise to fundamentally transform America. And we see exactly what is happening. Those statements still stand true, those predictions coming to fruition. So my statement is the same as it was back in '08.

Yes, this is the most important part to note. Before making any disgusting comment you need to ensure the demographics of your audience lean towards 'white, Anglo-Saxon Protestant'. Palin goes so far as to ask the non-whites to leave the room before launching into her bawdy party routines.

No one is "making you poor".
They are paying you so you are richer than if you weren't paid.
They aren't paying you as much as your entitled self believes you are worth.
The good news for you, is that you don't have to accept the pay. You can go somewhere else and try to convince someone you are worth more.
Take some responsibility and don't blame others that they don't think you are worth much.
