BillCo: Just more proof that the agencies under the Obama administration are out of control.

You sound tired Bill.

liam76: I guess we still have morons that are confusing mass release of anything secret they can get their hands on and whistleblowing.

His aim was absolutely to whistleblow. Even the incomplete logs of the Lamo conversation show that his goal was transparency and bringing the 2007 helicopter and more to light. He took a shotgun approach instead of a scalpel.

HotIgneous Intruder: Manning will probably be tried for espionage, which is okey-dokey.

That is one of the charges in the 2nd group, yes.
18 U.S.C. § 793(e)

Interestingly, during the period he was being subjected to isolation torture, the charges he had been brought up on at that time had a maximum combined miltary sentence of less then fifteen years.

When people pointed out he was being tortured for violating statues for which their punishments indicated that the crimes were light to moderate, the prosecutors subsequently added a new bunch of charges that upped the stakes to a potential death penalty.

dittybopper: See that stain on the carpet? That's the purple piss my heart bleeds for him.

What harm do you believe he has caused that would justify torture? The US armed forces have repeatedly stated that no US asset was harmed due to the wikileaks document dump.

GawdDayum I'm always amused how Americans can turn almost any issue into a platform for bi-partisan bickering.

For example:

NewsFlash -- Rogue black bear breaks into Walmart and eats food, terrifies shoppers

Republican -- Here's another fine example of how Obama has failed America by dismantling the national bear patrol in favour of bankrupting the country through liberal wharrgarbl

Democrat -- There were bears during the Bush administration, you moran. Perhaps if you stopped getting all your news from Limbaugh then you would know that...

Political Candidate -- This bear problem is something that affect each and every American, regardless of age, gender, or tax bracket. If you vote for me, I will make bear amelioration my TOP PRIORITY

Sophomore Congressman -- We need to pass this "Keep our chilluns' safe from ursine predators" bill which includes an amendment which establishes a national bear safety agency which will drive trucks around and stop citizens to make sure they aren't bears in disguise.

And so on, and so on, ad infitnitum

This sure does underline why it's all over for america. Our self correcting mechanism is seen as the problem by our scumbag leaders.

Very similar to the way the republican party lost it's ability to fix itself when it adopted retard Rayguns 11th commandment.

CommieTaoist: Regardless of any wrongdoing with the contracts, she should be fired for being stupid enough to say something so idiotic in front of an IG.

I think she should be fired, too, but where would we find a cannon that size?

It's common knowledge that once an Air Force officer reaches the rank of Lt. Col, said officer becomes a complete and total f*cknut.

BillCo: During the Bush administration, if a cat was run over by a mail truck in Baltimore, some moron would come on here and say "I blame Bush". Now we have major scandals rocking some of the biggest agencies in the government and you say "NONE of this is Obama's fault" You're carrying that Messiah worship a bit too far. It's time to see about a little intervention.

Bush has a history of being drunk and high, so it could have been him driving the mail truck.

When Obama does anything close to the same league as ignoring warnings about a major terrorist attack and then starting an unnecessary and unjustified war, then you can whine. But you'll probably whine anyway.
