No. In fact if the media was really on the ball big money donors would get just as much scrutiny as the candidates they finance.

2012-08-14 04:31:22 PM
Romney doesn't want to talk about anything that Romney doens't wnat to talk about, and the media should just respect that becuase it's not like Romney is running for president of the entire united states or anything. Voters don't need to know stuff about Romney (or by extension Ryan).

2012-08-14 04:34:49 PM
Where's that list of things the Romney camp doesn't want to discuss? Room for one more?

2012-08-14 04:35:57 PM
So, mother f*cker, what can the media discuss about you and your campaign? Seriously? What the f*ck is left on the table, in your mind, that the media can cover? How the f*ck can you honestly expect to be president of the United States when you want to prohibit everyone and everything from scrutinizing you even a little bit?

2012-08-14 04:40:34 PM
Can the FEC ask why a VP candidate is even talking to a man that has sunk 10's if not 100's of millions of dollars into superpacs supporting their campaign? Serious farking question! I thought candidates were not supposed to cooridinate with superpacs in any capacity.

I think you're forgetting 2 things.

1) Rules are for the little people

and

2) Obama still hasn't apologized for being black.

Romney the Mormon and Ryan the Randian are controlled by a Jewish gambler.

Perfect.

Perfect.

And not in the conspiracy theory sense, either.

At what point do even Romney and/or Ryan supporters say, "WTF?"?

How do you know you even like or agree with people who you are prohibited from knowing?

I wouldn't vote for Romney just because of the secrecy and lack of exposure.

The WORST part is, Romney and Ryan weren't even Adelson's first pick!

Newt Gingrich was.

I always suspected the Jews and Mormons were in cahoots. This is incontrovertible evidence.

The Romney campaign's list of things the media is forbidden from covering:

1. the past
2. the present

We'd be better off with a list of things we are allowed to discuss.

He doesn't care. He wants his casino, his money and his favorite country (not the US) taken care of.

Can we have that Soledad anchor interview him and shred him? I like how she took on his little helper.

Remember when Romney mistakenly announced Ryan as the next POTUS and then corrected himself and mistakenly referred to Ryan as the next VP.

My guess is that they can claim Adelson does not control the superpac, he only donated to it.

Seems like an awfully high price tag for a posthumous Mormon baptism.

Maybe Adelson, in his advanced age, thinks it's best to cover his bases. Some afterlife must be willing to take his blackened soul.

So let me get this straight...

Sheldon Adelson is dumping huge amounts of money into Romney SuperPACs.

And Romney and Ryan are having a "finance meeting" with Sheldon.

And SuperPACs and candidates aren't supposed to coordinate with each other in any way.

And the press isn't allowed to know what they say in that meeting.

Sounds legit.

Just for people keeping score: When a rich Jew donates to Democratic SuperPACs, it's OK. But f**k those rich Jews who give to Republicans.

Ryan was planning on releasing 10 years of tax returns.

I think it would be easier if Romney just came out with a list of questions that he will allow the press to ask.

I'm not googling it, and you all can say I am full of shiat if you want. Around maybe a month and half ago Romney had a private retreat for top donors/fundraisers. One of the agenda items was a panel discussion with Mitt, Karl Rove and some other guy with the topic being how to portray the campaign in the media. Karl Rove runs one the largest super pacs and influences many of them btw if you didn't know. If having an open public panel discussion about how your campaign should be ran in the media doesn't count as coordination I really don't know what you could do to get in trouble.

Did they SAY that they will *specifically* speak about SuperPACs in said meeting? No? Then what's the problem?

And they're calling this a "finance meeting". That gives me the impression that Adelson is giving them policy suggestions. I'm sure a casino owner will have lots of good ideas on how to run the government.

Obama ad people, you should definitely be cutting a spot specifically listing The Various Things Mitt Romney Doesn't Want the Media or Obama Campaign to Talk About. Helps drill how pathetic he is into the voters' heads, y'know.

Neither Romney nor Ryan have ever been on a real job interview so they can't be expected to be asked about stuff just to get the Presidency.

The LDS has no issue shattering the ninth commandment to further the Church's interests. Why would getting chummy with a wager monger give them pause?
