A local company used to sell packets and bags of raktajino. It was great stuff.

/Las Vegas runs on coffee. Some casino PAD/EVS departments give their employees a cup of espresso as they start their shift.

ANYONE FOR A PPC?

www.solaris7.com

Directions: This Mix is long time dream and now reality.
It has four other variations the only difference is the liquor you mix with the Grain alcohol.
The one first described is called the
Steiner variant.
The others include:

Steiner: 2 oz Peppermint Schnapps
Davion: 2 oz Bourbon or Tequila
Kurita: 2 oz Sake
Liao: 2 oz Plum Wine
Marik: 2 oz Ouzo

Bottom's up, and oh by the way if it's the Steiner variant of the drink, open you throat and send her down. DO NOT! KEEP IT IN YOUR MOUTH, OR IT WILL FEEL LIKE THE ENAMEL IS COMING OFF YOUR TEETH.

list fails without the only drinks that matter (besides the pan-galactic gargle blaster):

milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom

rickycal78: So after reading TFA, and going through the farking slideshow TFA linked to find the recipe for Mudder's Milk, I find that it's simply a White Russian with some Bailey's added. Probably tastes pretty good, and I'm sure I'll try it some day, but I somehow don't see it as having much in the way of nutrients the way Mudder's Milk was supposed to.

But Guinness is nutritionally complete except for vitamin C and calcium... so eat a couple of citrus tums and you're good

In RL, I'm up with Picard... 3 varieties of Earl Grey in the CT cupboard right now.

However, the best drink recipe I ever got out of sci-fi was Larry Niven's 'Irish Coffee for a Crowd' (or similar title) which he included in one of his story collections. Apparently he made this stuff for his peeps at various .cons over the years.

Waaaaay back when (80's), there was this show on HBO starring Martin Short as a private eye. He drank this crazy, labor intensive, 7 layer parfait drink that bartenders HATED making. They'd finish it, he'd take A drink and leave it. Anyone?

I'm looking for something like a Mallard Fizz, but not quite as ducky.

Kuta: PPC

oh good christ, one of the worst nights ever.

I didnt have measurements for the recipie, just did ratios for the PPC's; 2:1 shots grain to "mixer" because I thought it was more authentic.

I was OK with the Steiner and Davion, but when it got to the Marik, thats when it came undone.

I think it degenerated into "ER PPC's", because what the hell, we had more everclear to get rid of...

Mmmm. Mudders' Milk. Now all we need is a recipe for Fruity Oaty Bars to go with...

/Not mandatory

meat0918: Add blue food coloring to Everclear, make Romulan Ale.

You don't need any of the other stuff. It won't really be drinkable, though it'll have the kick of the fictional stuff.

We used to add Nehi Blue Cream Soda to Rumple Minze Peppermint to make ours. It had a satisfying flavor as well as a bit of a kick to it.

The only thing that comes up with a Google for "martin short as a private eye" is a movie called "Pure Luck". Though it looks like Danny Glover plays the PI in that one.
