Ok, just in case no one wants to read Newsbusters.

The man holding the fund raiser: Reinaldo Bermudez. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine in 1999 and served three years in federal prison.

The other man: Jorge Cabrera, who gave $20,000 to the DNC in 1995 and was invited to a fund raiser and a White House Christmas party. Three weeks later, he was arrested and charged with trying to smuggle three tons of cocaine and 30 cases of Cohiba cigars into the United States. He was sentenced to 19 years in prison. The Democrats returned his money after that. He did not hold a fund raiser.

Unless this guy was Obama's drug dealer, I don't see the press giving it attention. If he were Obama's drug dealer, we would have known that he was a very bad guy and not to be trusted.

There is literally nothing in this headline that is true. Nothing.

Well done, submitter. I'm impressed. Seriously.

JerseyTim: The man holding the fund raiser

Neither one of these guys even "held a fundraiser."

This headline is essentially just random words strung together that happen to make syntactic sense. It has no bearing whatsoever on reality. It's amazing.

Wait..both these guys are Mexican, right? Whatever, same difference.

That's a good point. My mistake. He just owns the place where Romney appeared.

From what I can see, he is angry that an article from 1996 didn't mention that this guy was convicted in 1999?

Or does he think that the AP should have suppressed that information to help Romney?

I particularly like the completely random use of punctuation and capitalization, too.

This headline is a wingnut masterpiece. The sheer economy of derp...the way it comes together to form something larger than the sum of its parts...it's something to behold.

I'm getting all emotional here.

Indicted, pardoned, never convicted. Slim case as well and the Feds stopped using RICO statutes for the case before it would have gone to trial. The pardon was not the cleanest though they never tend to be. Nice try.

i think he's saying it's ok because clinton presented a reasonable justification for the pardon. how is that at all an analog to the romney scandal?

Of course when Marc Richs wife donates millions to your presidential library and donates substantial amounts to Hillary's senate campaign they will always find a "justifiable reason"

In 1995, cocaine trafficker Jorge Cabrera gained access to Al Gore and Hillary Clinton at separate fundraisers after giving $20,000 to the DNC. When that story broke a year later, CNN tried to describe him as a "commercial fisherman." AP's story continued:

Romney appeared at El Palacio de los Jugos, which is owned by Reinaldo Bermudez. Court records show that Bermudez pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine in 1999 and served three years in federal prison.

Clinton was a scumbag who sold our secrets to the Chinese amongst other things. Good President, though.

I don't think Democrats are demanding anything. It's Republicans who need to decide if they care.
