Actually, this is more "Sen. Franken cheated to get in" then about Obama. Pushing a bunch of debunked crap that was settled years ago.

I'm a conservative activist. I blog at The Houston Chronicle, RightWingNews, Newsbusters, and my own site. I co-host SmartGirlNation on FTRadio for SmartGirlPolitics, an organization of conservative women to promote issues that are important to us.

tell them that when voter fraud occurs, even a small amount, it makes ALL of our votes not count.

That doesn't make any sense.

Furthermore, it's an example of the "if it saves just one life then it was worth it" nonsense.

Are these dead people showing up at polling places to vote? No? One wonders where fraud enters the picture, then.

Here's what I don't get - why do conservatives presume that dead people who still remain registered will automatically vote Democratic? Who's to say they can't vote Republican? A quick look around shows just as many fraud charges against GOP operatives as Dem ones (if not more).

Given that this is a virtually 100% one-sided issue, why don't you assholes just look me in the eye and tell me what this is really all about?

Hey, it's not TownHall or American Thinker, and it's got the 'Asinine' tag'. As for the source, not sure where the actual root of this is; just did a Google for the headline, and saw the entire page full of links, all credited to the woman, and all(so far) acting like she wrote it for them, or linking to the 'source' story, which is a different link than before. They're apparently saturating the web with this shiat.

I'll only worry about registered dead voters when they actually show up to vote.

And besides, isn't it discrimination against undead voters to deny them their basic rights? The undead deserve a voice in the government.

Franken and his Democratic allies dispatched an army of lawyers to challenge the results.

Whereas the republicans showed up with nothing but cute puppies and a child's belief in Santa Clause.

During the controversy a conservative group called Minnesota Majority began to look into claims of voter fraud. Comparing criminal records with voting rolls, the group identified 1,099 felons - all ineligible to vote - who had voted in the Franken-Coleman race.

Note that she says they voted. She does not say whether or not those votes were counted in the final tally.

True. But if the best you can say is "At least it's not Townhall/DailyKOS/American Thinker" then you are already at the bottom.

2012-08-14 11:55:22 AM
Did they just look at names when checking criminal records agaist voter roles, or did they bother to check if those 1099 felons had completed their probationary periods after being released from prison, and thus had their voting rights restored?

Somehow, I don't think so.

Did they bother to check if any of those dead people actually voted?

Did they bother to invelstigate if those illegal aliens, and cartel assassins, really voted, or was it a citizen with the same name? I'll bet "Juan Gomez" voted about 147 times in L.A. county! And another 364 times in Arizona.

When you start from the premise of, "We live in a fascist nightmare where every one of my sacred freedoms has been crushed," then you work backward until you find the least totally-crazy explanation that includes liberal treason. This does not bar it from being totally crazy. But at least it doesn't involve aliens or moon bats.

We want tax cuts. Therefore deficits don't matter.
We want tax cuts. Therefore Kerry was a cowardly deserter.
We want oil. Therefore Saddam bad man.
We hate teh blah. Therefore Fartbongo Kenyan.
We hate teh gay. Therefore my sacred marriage.
We want tax cuts. Therefore job creators.
We hate recession. Therefore Jimmy Carter crashed the economy.
We hate losing our investments more than we hate gubbmint. Therefore regulations guarantee meltdowns.

Etc.

That's not exclusive to the GOP. Not by a loooong shot. That's the foundation for the modern political campaign, and rule one in both party's PlayBook.

And if they counted, for whom. It could be the whole argument is "Felons voted Coleman, which is fraud, so the whole election is invalid! We get a do-over! Do-Over! I SAID DO-OVER!"

For the love of all that's holy! Even if that's true (color me dubious) that's still not VOTER FRAUD! That would be registration fraud (although with 1000 people in a state it's probably just an innocent oversite). and how on earth would voter ID laws have stopped this? Does you voter ID card say I'm a felon and shouldn't vote?
