we got stuck at a fatal accident for almost 3 hours this summer on the 401 in canada, (like I-75) and many people were doing strange things, like skateboarding, playing catch, setting up a bbq, with fold out lawn chairs and having a open beer. the cop who questioned him about it was cool when he was told that i'm not the one driving, and i'm not in a car, but the topper was the man doing tai-chi for almost 2 hours and the teenagers in front of him doing it to mock him

Actually, traffic was rolling pretty good when the kid got killed. That was part of the problem, since it was a moving car that killed him. And yes, traffic did stop so people could break out their Webers and do some grilling while the firemen spread the cat litter to soak up the blood.
But the best part is that the Domino's Pizza driver who killed the kid disappeared along with his noisy, piece-of-crap car. And nobody skateboards in the street anymore.
