Good thing being obese isn't against their religious beliefs. Otherwise it would be bad news for the seven six deadly sins.

Remember this is just "self reported obesity", so, I'd tack on another 10-15% across the board for the whole population.

Vermont, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Maine and Colorado were all ranked in the top ten healthiest states in 2011 and they're all yellow on the map. So yeah, call me a bit skeptical.

surely if we make our diets lower-fat and more carb-centric, we'll finally start losing weight. the problem is that we still have fats in our food!

There's been some sort of weird British influence happening for a while here. Bothers me too, and I'm not even from the US. Careful though, complaining about it will get people shrieking that you're being nonsensical.

Recently traveled to a central american backpacker/scuba diving destination, where the general nature of everyone was to stay active and in shape. So many beautiful girls. I came back to Texas wondering why there are so few here. Just looking around; however, it's a quick realization that there are alot of pretty faces attached to fat asses. Literally all many people need to do to be 10x hotter is lose some damn weight. It's one thing to be a little bit curvy, like many people are even at a healthy weight, and alot of guys like that. But there shear number of 50+ pound over weight people is shocking when you are away from it for a little bit. If everybody in Houston would start doing just 1.5 hrs of exercise a week and cut portion sizes by a mere 25%, there would probably be a noticable effect on the population within months.

In case you can't figure it out, I don't care about everyone's health, I just want more hot girls to look at ;-) This is fark right?

"Self reported"? They may as well ask for folks to self report dong size. Something tells me the nation would be filled with more footlongs than all the subways on earth.

And they will be putting a major stress on health care with all their fatty problems.
Reminds me of WALL-E:

But seriously, if they just count how many Rascal Scooters are in use in those states, they'd come up with a better idea of the number of obese people

its fair game to promote ones own interests. this is what america was founded on afterall.

and yeah texans are tubby.

im from California and we have our share of hefty peeps there too, but its nowhere near as bad there as the landlocked states that ive seen. i cant speak for the e. coast but to me this map looks right as far as west vs. midwest goes.

Ohio Kentucky Illinois Indiana are HUGE compared to California. Like easily 2ce as fat. Im kinda beergutted and was on the heavier side of normal in los angeles... i loved going to dayton ohio, i was thin and rich by ohio standards, and all the lonely very early 20something airforce wives who were trolling the bars while their mans were out defending freedom in iraq were all to happy to keep me company.

i think thats one of the reason there seem to be so many sex crimes in the fat states, the only people who are in step with the media/porn defined definition of beauty are 15. Seemed to be the case in ohio. Under 20? in "normal" shape. College age? Looking a little meaty round your Wisconsin Badgers/ Columbus Buckeye sweatshirts. Over 30? Hugely over weight. You could tell how old people were by how overweight they were.

Look at that, a whole state filled with people that conveniently have the same thyroid problem!

2012-08-14 10:57:02 AM
According to BMI, I am right on the line of overweight and obese
But, I have very low cholesterol, low blood pressure (frighteningly low actually), blood sugars are great, passed a stress test with no problem, passed my physical with flying colors... and ran/walked in over 15 K's last year (some 5K's, some 10K's and a 1/2 marathon)...
I just cant seem to slim down more than 30 pounds a year, and in a blink of an eye, I gain 15 back...

So, I am a little round (size 14-16), but I am tall and healthy...
Call me fat, don't care.. I have called myself far worse...

2012-08-14 10:57:34 AM
It's a self-reported survey, morans, clearly only these states are HONEST ENOUGH to tell the truth while lying Godless atheist states lie so hard about their lying lies they skew the national average.

Are you seriously telling me there are no fat people in New York, where Nazi socialists had to outlaw soda because of all the fatty fatty fat fats running around? And how do you explain notoriously corrupt Illinois one shade lighter than most of their neighbors? You know, the place where lard is an acceptable topping for (what they call) pizza?

This is just more commie propaganda against the Real™ American™ way of life from the Center for Derp Control.

They failed to mention that the criteria for obesity/BMI changed a while back, and people became obese overnight.
