What is this headline, I don't even?

2012-08-13 05:12:02 PM
Let's greenlight ALL of the derp!

2012-08-13 05:16:59 PM
Actually, the headline is a lie.

2012-08-13 05:17:22 PM
I still don't understand what the significance of this is

/except it gives the Republican echo machine something else to whine about
//as if they needed any reason

2012-08-13 05:23:05 PM
So farking what? Did she or any member of the Obama campaign coordinate in any way with Priorities U.S.A.? Nope.

2012-08-13 05:25:59 PM
"Soledad, of course I know the Priorities USA super PAC is a Democratic-affiliated super PAC," Wasserman Schultz said. "But the point I was trying to make was that ad was produced by a separate organization, an organization that we don't coordinate with, that we have nothing to do with."

ARE THEY OR ARE THEY NOT RUN BY HUMANS? AND YOU ARE A HUMAN, ARE YOU NOT? WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF FOR WHAT THEY DID?

2012-08-13 05:33:12 PM
SuperPACs: only bad when Dems do it.

2012-08-13 05:33:36 PM
Super-Pacs are people, my friend.

I give Debbie a pass on this. She was on Fox; she probably thought she was supposed to lie.

2012-08-13 05:41:56 PM
So in about a month when the blatantly racist ads start showing up, we can tie those to Romney.

2012-08-13 05:43:11 PM
I'll give her a full point for copping to the lie. It will be easy for a bunch of hypocritical GOP douchebags to rip on her now for lying, but at the end of it she was caught and admitted it. Very much unlike the GOP derp machine that is all of them, from their candidates to their bought and paid for news-folk.

So she was trolling Fox News? Good for her.

2012-08-13 05:45:43 PM
Um, okay?

2012-08-13 05:45:43 PM
"Soledad, of course I know the Priorities USA super PAC is a Democratic-affiliated super PAC," Wasserman Schultz said. "But the point I was trying to make was that ad was produced by a separate organization, an organization that we don't coordinate with, that we have nothing to do with."

Of course she knew they were affiliated. They've been affiliated since day 1, since it's Obama staffers that went to create the super PAC. It was a blatant lie the first time, and it's just more blatant lies now. The Democrat Party is so stupid they want you to believe that the group is Democrat-affiliated but has nothing to do with Democrats.

Pathetic. And furthermore comma.

2012-08-13 05:45:53 PM
lied on Fox News Sunday

So Wasserman-Schultz is just like every other Fox News guest. Must be something in the water.

What did Romney say earlier this year when his ad took Obama blatantly out of context?

Something about goose and gander?

I had my money on the Ron Paul machine but I guess this makes more sense.

I guess this means that Romney is automatically president and Obama has to be a valet for the White House Car Elevator and Joe Biden has to hand over the title to his cherry Trans Am.

2012-08-13 05:53:31 PM
Surprise!!

She has been caught in so many lies. No wonder the left likes her work.

Can't run on the record, run on the lies.

Sure, let me know when she lies to get us into a war.

2012-08-13 05:58:53 PM
We should start investigating the connections that SuperPacs have with the candidates. What say you, Conservatives?

2012-08-13 05:59:15 PM

Madbassist1: What is this headline, I don't even?

"Schuuuuultz" is presumably a reference to Hogan's Heroes, imitating how Colonel Klink would yell at Sergeant Schultz when angered, to which Schultz would generally reply with his signature line: "I know nothing! Nothing!"

Just like, you know, Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed she knew "Nothing! Nothing!" about the... aw, forget it.

You have to be old enough to be aware of Hogan's Heroes to make this reference, which indicates that either subby's middle-aged, or that subby is parroting a Rush-ism (along the lines of "Puff Daschle" and "Dingy Harry").

This is worse then the time Bush lied about WMDs, and essentially this negates that lie because both sides are equally bad.

2012-08-13 05:59:33 PM
So conservatives don't like Super PACs now?

Oh, I almost forgot. Conservatives only support bad/sleazy ideas when they help republicans get elected.

Satanic_Hamster: Didn't we just have a thread that basically said... Well, exactly that?

Well SOME of us said that. But then a lot of the Crazy D brigade came in and fought valiantly against the notion that anyone with the Democratic party could have possible said anything that was untrue ever. A whole lot of amusing attempts at reality distortion were made to avoid simply saying "that's not true, what she said". A good time was had by all.

Anywho, she said something that was false. It is an inconsequential falsehood but that doesn't make it true, nor does it make it acceptable. And having had it pointed out, she corrected her statement and said something that was true. Everyone's a winner. Tomorrow it will be something else equally trivial.

AdolfOliverPanties: I give Debbie a pass on this. She was on Fox; she probably thought she was supposed to lie.

2012-08-13 06:26:25 PM
This is worse than when Judith Miller was given unprecedented freedom to print whatever she could invent about WMDs on the front page of the New York Times or when the entire media convinced 80% of America that Iraq was responsible for 9/11.

This is clearly an outrage, as Debbie's lies do not benefit Israel, multinational corporations or bankers.
