Tanthalas39: I raise pastured poultry (among other livestock) as a cottage business. Raccoons have killed 45 of our chickens this year, despite ever-increasing security measures. I've livetrapped over 50 of them just this summer.

/Michigan
//Goddamn raccoons
///Used to drive them six miles away because I couldn't bring myself to put a .22 bullet in their head. How naive of me
////Said to my boss on the phone (who is a black woman) that I was having problems with coons; instantly regretted choice of words
//One big CSB, I know

Contact your local UKC coonhound club and invite them out for a weekend of pest removal. The dogs are incredibly efficient; tell them they can take as many coons as they can find, and they'll probably be all about it. Hunting a new area will be a big enough draw in itself. Heck, I bet they'll even take you with them - I've been to numerous hunts with UKC people, even when I didn't have a dog with me. Coon hunting is a fun thing to do - its amazing to watch the dogs work.

/Assuming, of course, that you will let a couple of good ole boys and their dogs run around on your property at night despite liability issues.
//and that you're not violating any local game laws
