Rep. Paul Ryan wiped away tears as he made his first appearance as Mitt Romney's running mate in his home state, telling a crowd of 10,000 people here that the upcoming election is a "special moment" not just for him, but for the country.

Oh great...another Republican crybaby.

So Mitt's call to the President is basically "Let's talk about something other then all of the questionable things I've done in the past, and just focus on what each of us wants to do to for the country"?

fortnightlitpress.files.wordpress.com

Let's start with detailed tax plans, with numbers for impacts on Americans earning at many different levels.
Let's see a detailed sample budget showing how you can cut taxes, raise spending and still bring down the deficit or the debt.

Come on Mitt, let's talk details.

Ryan is a second-rate mind, and personifies the expression "a stupid person's idea of what a smart person sounds like".
His "philosophy" is a hodgepodge of mind bites garnered from other second rate minds - like Ayn Rand and Ronald Reagan.
The last time the far right "pushed it too far", it was the 1950s, and the Birchers and McCarthyites.
The resulting recoil on the part of average Americans brought about the Sixties and all they brought with them.
I didn't think it was going to happen again, yet. I thought 2020, or maybe 2016 at the earliest. But the GOP may have finally pushed harder than the middle will tolerate. They've been utterly delusional lately.

Know all those conspiracy theories that say the lizard people are trying to take over the world's governments? Look at Ryan with his beady little eyes and admission he doesn't have human blood. Is it possible? Is he a reptoid?

jso2897: But the GOP may have finally pushed harder than the middle will tolerate.

This is the part that I don't get. Their "ideas" are clearly outright destructive to the better part of 250,000,000 Americans. I understand how they trick rubes into supporting them in the short-term with stupid crap about socialism and petty pandering about debt reduction and illegitimate comparisons between a household debt and running a government....

What I don't get is how they can be so incredibly myopic to not see that this is not a sustainable course. The fact is that the rubes will eventually wise up. At some point they're going to get hit with all the expenses that come along with "plans" like Romney's and Ryan's. Gut Medicare and millions will suddenly be paying tens of thousands of dollars a year they can't afford on medical care and medicine they literally need to survive. Privatize social security and millions will eventually wind up being unable to retire, or having to delay retirement for years beyond when they planned because they got pinned in a downturn. Keep cutting taxes so there's less and less money to run our society and eventually (more) bridges will collapse, roads will crumble, the courts will clog, police and fire will become unreliable...

Their plans are just not sustainable. Like you said, at some point there is going to be a backlash when people realize they've been had. It's like history just never happened with these people. I can't even begin to fathom how stubbornly republicans must refuse to acknowledge reality to think any of this is a) a good idea and b) going to end in anything other than catastrophe fro them.

And all the while they biatch about how the wealthy have to pay so much more as a percentage of income to sustain society while ignoring that the wealthy have been abusing their resources for decades to lobby for laws that gut middle class protections shrinking job security, opportunities and compensation... newsflash, dickheads. When only 10% of Americans are gaining wealth at even a modest rate, only 10% of Americans have anything to take more of. Maybe try instituting some policies to fatten the middle and trim the top before you biatch that we aren't taxing them more heavily?

So it's a good thing they have created a gargantuan intelligence network focused on US citizens. Just in time. Go figure.

Upon the death of Ronald Reagan (Blessed be his tax cutting name), his blood was transfused into Paul Ryan, infusing Ryan with the Reagan Spirit of empty militarism, hostility to the poor and extreme loyalty to the wealthy.

Paul Ryan is a fitness buff. He climbs mountains and really works hard to stay fit. Good for him.

Unfortunately, many of his midwestern brethern aren't so fit, and unless you work out a lot, you can't eat brats and cheese and drink beer all football season long.

So the fatties aren't going to do very well when they are 50 lbs overweight and have diabeetus and heart disease and colon cancer and have no medicare to help them.

I'm still trying to get over the fact that the GOP nominated a non-Christian (to the base, anyhow), uncharismatic, jackass born with a silver spoon in his mouth... and then, he in turn, nominates an uncharismatic Ayn Rand athiest who's looking to end medicare. Are they just giving up and running out the clock so that no valuable players get injured?

Mr. President," Romney snapped, "Take your campaign out of the gutter. Let's talk about the real issues America faces."

He thinks this is negative. Really, let me show him negative.

Mitt Romney
*Tortures Animals for Expediency
*Destroyed countless American Families for personal profit
*Personally Invested in at least one company that profits from the murder of unborn children
*Personally profited from the illegal organ and tissue trade.
*Speaks French.

That my friends is negative, if you'll excuse me I think I saw Rmoney in my yarrd, I need to call the ASPCA and Homeland Security, before he farks my horse and helps my lawn recover.

(Also all claims true to a standard of one Fox news, or one milinpr.)

What I don't understand is why the GOP always seems to make the VP candidate more important than their Presidential candidate. Why overshadow the guy who is really running for office? When Obama campaigns, Obama is center stage. Republicans...don't do it that way and it puzzles me. Are they expecting Romney to die or give up the office?

Agreed.

0bama should go first. He has been doing this for only 3.75 years and besides the roaring success of the Summer of Recovery and Cash For Clunkers, where are his detailed plans?

(well, to be fair, 0bama did keep the Bush tax cuts so he seems to believe in the value of keeping taxes low).
